Maplekit looked up from Redfrost's tail. "Hi!" she mewed to Starlight. She padded over to the she-cat.
"I'm Maplekit!"Redfrost got up and followed Maplekit and let out a purr of amusement.

"Watch, Starlight!" Maplekit purred. "I can catch a mouse!" she was looking at her father's tail, which the tip was twiching. She watched Redfrost's tail, then leaped, claws sheathed.

she didn't hurt her father.Redfrost purred. "Great job, Maplekit. Work on your stance, though, okay? Have Starlight teach you. I need to hunt."
"Awww! But, Daddy!" Maplekit wailed.

"I know." Maplekit half-hissed. "My Daddy's fun to play with. He makes it challenging!"

"Yes!" Maplekit purred.

"I'm ready!" Maplekit mewed. She looked over her shoulder. "Hey! Blazekit, Darkkit! Wanna play Mouse Catch?"

Redpaw sat up, blinking away sleep.
I'd better see if Stoneclaw wants training, he thought. -
"Sure!" Maplekit purred.

Redfrost smiled slightly and let out a purr.

"Thank you." Snakebite dipped her head. "Mousebrains!"
She raced off as fast as she could.

"Oh, Mouse Catch is when we pretend a warrior's tail is a mouse." Maplekit looked at her littermates. "Okay."
"What?" Maplekit mewed.

'It's Mouse Catch! And Daddy lets us do it!" Maplekit yowled.

"Like I said earlier," Maplekit mewed. "All we do is pounce on a warrior's tail. Plus, he's deputy!"

"StarClan, would I! Lets go!" Maplekit leaped into the air. She lowered her ears. "What about Daddy and Momma?"

Maplekit followed Darkkit. "Daddy's hunting." she mewed. She sniffed the air, and scented his scent. "See?"
