"You should join the dark side," said Icewind, nimbly dodging Night's headbut despite his size. "We have apples."
"I'm on the dark side!" whinnied Ink. "You're just a traitor, Ice." She stuck her tongue out at him.

Icewind shivered happily. "What if I want some apples too?" he asked with a pout.
Icewind pouted. "Darn it. No apples for me."
OOC: be back in a little while visiting my dad at the hospital :3
Icekit smiled nervously. "If you say so," she mewed. "And who doesn't love hide-and-go-seek?" she asked, crouching and wiggling her rump in the air, her usual energy and mischief returning rapidly. "Not it!"
Icewind snorted playfully into Night's nose. "Yay," he whinnied. "I like apples."
((Yea, he just had brain surgery for an aneurism a couple weeks ago. They had to do a bypass but found another one in his head so the surgery lasted from 7 am friday to 5 am saturday... He starting to talk now though so he's doing better))
Ink whinnied playfully. "Come on, Aero, we'll find our own apples," she snorted, trotting in a circle around the other mare. "There's bound to be a few good trees out here somewhere."
((Mind if I join? This sounds interesting :3))
Scarlet slammed against the cage walls. Someone had gotten out. She shrieked with desperate jealousy at whomever it was that had escaped, wishing that she was with them. Her huge black and red kite's wings pressed against all surfaces of the metal enclosure, and she flapped desperately, though she knew full well she was in danger of losing a feather or two in the process.
Then, suddenly, the lock snapped.
Scarlet tumbled out. They were everywhere, whitecoats and erasers, and voices and alarms and the sounds of people running and footsteps crashed down on her skull and threatened at her autism. She shrunk back and hissed, but no one seemed to notice her. She closed her ears to the world and ran.
OOC: Thanks :)
Scarlet darted through the river of people like a fish in a stream, using her mere 70 pounds of body weight by leaping at high speed from the shoulders of the whitecoats and erasers. If they were after someone else, she figured, and that someone else was already out, then they must be headed for the exit. I'll just hitch a ride here, she thought, nimbly leaping from shoulder to shoulder like a cat. They seemed to notice her, those that she launched from, but they had a difficult time getting to her. The ones who tried reaching out were always too far back in the flow of people already, and those in the front hadn't seen her yet. It was quite easy, keeping away; the only difficulty for her was balance. Finally she dropped down onto the ground to avoid getting hit in the face by the door frame, and ran one more time up the back of an unsuspecting eraser and into the air. The wide feathers on either side of her tail fanned out, and her wings stretched wide, though stiff, to catch a current and carry her off.
Scarlet balked and dropped in surprise. There was another one! A second glance and her thoughts were confirmed - it was an avian that had made the first escape. Scarlet angled upward again as best she could, heading for the other girl. Her kite's wings struggled with holding her up and in one place for any length of time, but agility and speed were neither any problem and she shot forward.
"I'm... Scarlet," she said after a barely notable pause, as her autism and the mind experiments made her memory fracture slightly for a moment. It didn't last long, however, and her thoughts were almost immediately overrun again by the rush of adrenaline that said freedom.
Scarlet's eyes lit up with hope. "Oh, definitely!" she said with a laugh. "A life with others like us would the best thing ever to happen to me..." She struggled to hover next to Aryn, but gave up in the end, resorting to orbiting her instead.
"There's a good one right there! We get dibs!" whinnied Ink, already on her way toward a low-branched ripe apple tree and motioning to Aero with a flick of her tail.
"There'll be more apple trees," whinnied Icewind, temporarily distracted by Night's eyes.
"Gah!" neighed Ink, picking up her brisk trot into a wild run. "Run, Aero, run!" she laughed, reaching the apple tree neck in neck with Night.
Icewind laughed and kicked into a gallop after Night. Ink, prancing victoriously around Aero and snatching an apple from a low branch, jumped in surprise at the voice. "Woah!" she whinnied, her tougher personality emerging. She laid her ears back and raised her head. "Stop hiding and show yourself," she snorted, not quite threateningly but with a warning in her voice. Traveling, anything or anyone could be trouble.
OOC: I don't mind if nobody else minds :3
IC: Scarlet caught sight of a damsel fly and found its jet black wings and metallic body fascinating, her autism making it impossible to look away... until it flew into her eye.
OOC: yayyy more people =D
IC: Scarlet blinked and the damsel fly darted away. "Oh, hi," she said as Scott flew up beside her. ADHD made her curious about the boy for a minute, then her abnormally-heightened hearing made her attention snap back to the school where it sounded like more cages were being escaped from.
OOC: haha maybe. Or maybe not...
IC: Scarlet blinked, then backed up in the air. She wanted to land desperately; her wings were hurting, and she knew she could run just as fast as she could fly. "You're a what??" she asked. "Wait, you're not gonna like shoot us down, are you? Cuz I was thinking of landing anyway, and I would appreciate it if you didn't put holes through my wings, thank you."
Scarlet narrowed her eyes, but shrugged. "If you say so," she said, then angled her wings downward, looking for a tree to land in.
Scarlet's eyes widened as she caught sight of the window shattering and the two other avians darting out. "Shoot," she muttered, spreading her still-sore wings. "Let's go help 'em," she said to Scott, running off of the side of the tree branch and launching into the air. Disoriented, she swiveled around in the air for a moment before remembering what she was supposed to do, and dove for the School.
Scarlet landed in the windowsill and reached in for Fin, aiming to grab his arm and haul him out. She flicked her feathered tail at Hawk and Scott, motioning for them to go. Erasers had started swarming her and Fin at the window.
