⋆ the male tribute from district eight ⋆

She gave him some space, which was nice. Crouching down, the boy began to do his best to built something, anything. The big problem was obvious, what to build? Maybe a spear. If he had a knife and a snick, he could make it in the field... but why make a spear when you have an actual knife?

If only these were needles and clothe. He could make something of that, like a hat or a shirt. Too bad that ability was pretty much worthless in the arena. Being District eight was no advantage.

Out of the corner of his eye, he began to watch Rebecca. He knew he should bother talking with anyone, as to make any friends now... it would just make the games that much more unbearable. Still, Ether couldn't help himself. "You know what you're doing." Ether said in curious admiration. There was a small glimmer of hope inside of him, but it wasn't for himself. Maybe this year another career wouldn't win.

    ooc. Yay stalker! ^____^ *tackleluffles*

    Ooh!!

His dancing paused for a moment as meowing reached his ears. Did his ears deceive him, or was he hearing the sound of a kitty cat? Twisting about, Toby searched until his gaze landed upon a black cat. Naturally, the words Creux had said meant nothing to the goat's ears. In the way, his bleeting would mean nothing to the cat, but Toby didn't care. "Oh, hello mister kitty!" He took a couple steps closer to the cat and lowered his head so he could see the cute guy better.

She still wasn't quite sure what she thought of the dog. It hadn't tried to hurt anyone yet.... yet. There were an awful lot of kittens around the camp that were very vulnerable if the dog got too hungry, kittens that included Dogtail's great great grandkittens.

The old warrior, her orange patches frosted with grey, picked her way through the camp over to Kiba. "Good evening." She greeted politely enough, but her gaze was guarded. While she trusted Gravelstar's opinion, in a serious situation like this, Dogtail wanted to form her own opinion about the dog and whether it was safe or not.

You can also send in a report of any of their posts, and in the comment, specify that you are reporting their personal text. :3 Either one works. Sending in a report will probably get a faster response though.

I don't know abou deviant art, but you can make .gifs and .pngs with transperant backgrounds on most art programs. On my photoshop CS5, it is pretty simple. :) You make/draw your image and leave the background empty (on photoshop, a blank background is one that is checkerboard grey - but its different across programs). Then when it is time to save the image, you go file-> save for web and devices.

By going through the Save for Web and Devices, photoshop will save the transperancy. :) you can also set other colors in the photo to be transperant, if you'd like.

If you are ever uncomfortable with someone's IC swearing, if possible, you can always leave the thread. :) While everyone is right that they have the right to swear, you have always have the right to stop role playing in a certain thread. It is not a perfect solution, but it is a solution. ^^

They are both awesome. :) I think I like the first better, mostly because my poor eye sigh has trouble reading the small cursive text in the second image. X) Also the bronzing is beautiful - sepia photographs are some of my favorites.

The mother of one of my good friends used to be a breeder. She often did something called line breeding, which is a nice word for incest. She has three dogs left from her breeding days; one dog is both mother and half sister to another, because they mated a father with his daughter. Sadly, its a common process.

And anyone who has taken a course in genetics knows just how dangerous incest truly is. Disregarding all morals, you almost guartenee that the dogs will suffer from typically rare diseases.

That is why the best dogs to get are mutts. Period. *waves SPCA flag around in the air*

    [glow=black,2,300]journeypaw[/glow]

When he had first became a mentor, Journeyheart had mostly been excited because having an apprentice is a requirement of becoming a leader. It took him one step closer towards having 'star' at the end of his name. Some might call his fixation with rising in rank greedy - he preferred thinking of it as an intense dream.

Today, his ultimate goal took a back seat in his mind. Today, he was actually quite enjoying being a mentor. Today, he would be drilling Sabrepaw on tree climbing technique, which was one of his favorite subjects.

Padding to a stop next to one of the big oaks not far from the camp, the silver tabby asked his apprentice with a grin, "Ready for some good old climbing?"

It was just a typical patrol around WindClan's territory. Dogtail followed several other warriors as they skirted around the borders, scenting, marking, and chattering softly. When they passed close to the river, they all noticed the apprentice on the other side. The warriors with Dogtail thought nothing of the apprentice, and kept walking.

Dogtail stopped. The old female hesitated, nervously eyeing the apprentice. After a moment's hesitation, the she-cat called out to her patrol that she'd catch up with them later.

Taking a few steps closer to the edge of the river, the warrior meowed softly, "Hello."

It was a little discerning when the dog sat up. When Kiba laid down, she looked smaller. When the dog sat up, Dogtail had to crane her head some to meet the dog's gaze. However, no matter how much the dog unnerved her (because it was a dog), Dogtail would not be impolite to someone that her own leader had invited into the Clan. "Hello Kiba." Meowed the warrior plainly, her gaze still very much guarded. "I am Dogtail."

She really didn't understand why a dog would want to join a Clan of cats. While she had no prejudice against rabbits, she would never want to live amongst them, or any other species other than cats for that matter. Clearing her throat, Dogtail tried to ask this as courteously as possible. "What brings you here to WindClan?"

Toby really liked this kitty. He seemed really friendly! Honestly, most cats seemed pretty friendly to Toby, but this was particularly. Why, this kitty was so excited to meet Toby, that his back did that weird curving upward thing that cats do when they're happy! "It's nice to meet you too!" Bleeted the goat cheerfully, stomping his hooves in place against the ground, as was per tradition for a proper goat greeting.

Stupid troll doing stupid, immature, intolerant stuff. :( *waves fist*

Awesome staff doing awesome, heroic, thorough work. :3
