[ history ] born to two wealthy and successful business people, ali is an only child, lovingly doted on and spoiled with the bounty of her parents wealth and riches. at a young age, she showed extreme interest in the art of ballet, enrolling in a school at the age of only five. the bond with her parents were extremely close when she was younger but started to thin out when they had to constantly be away on workhours, leaving her alone and a bit wild.

her sociable and likableness, earned her a rather high spot in the social hierarchy in the younger years until she started gaining on the pounds, filling out rather quick over a year though ali didn't mind at such a young age. however, the middle school years wrecked her self-esteem, constant demeaning remarks focused on her weight and appearance. her stubbornness still pushed aside the majority of the hurt emanating from the jabs. the most detrimental event that set off her anorexic ways, however, was the denial into ballet due to her overweight body. a few days later, ali had decided to simply cut down a food just a bit but it snowballed into an obsession, crazed over checking every little calorie and weighing herself constantly. she refused to eat in front of others, even if it was the smallest morsel. exercises began to lengthen out, extending from an hour of ballet practice to two and even more. her parents did take note of her behavior and frantically sent her to the waverly psychiatric ward.

currently, ali has only been in the ward for around three months, showing barely any progress towards eating more. her immediate response to being sent was resentment though it faded a bit as she introduced others to her passion of ballet as well as singing. however, ali still isn't much of a fan of the place, taking an extreme disliking to how most of the people are mostly pessimistic and down. she desperately misses hugo, the main company she had when her parents were away on work.

ali has always had insomnia, usually filling her uneventful and tiring nights on the web, quietly dancing, or simply laying around with hugo. now, she intensely continues to train overnight on her ballet, putting her disorder to some use. in addition, she has developed atelophobia, the fear of imperfections, and not only wants to improve her appearance and skill but her general personality.

[size=7pt]BACKGROUND. callisto was a mistake, not meant to be born as the child of hades and penelope mitchell, a wealthy, married woman. during one of persephone's spendings with her mother demeter, hades had a small fling with callisto's mother, only a simple two weeks, however, callisto was born nine months later, hidden from hades. only a fling, the two parents had no real romantic attraction towards each other, leaving callisto to be a regret of both her mother and father. the second child of penelope, she was passed of as simply another child to the mitchell family, her "father" being harrison mitchell. between her mother's resentment towards her and school problems stemming from her adhd and dyslexia, caused her to become rather rebellious and generally dark spirited, evoking her powers of curses. weighed by rejection and the fear her owns curses, callisto made her way out of her small hometown in minnesota at the age of eleven by means of her newly found shadow travel, attempting making her ways towards new york city, dreams of the big city, however, scarred by the appearances of monsters. her finding by a centaur eventually brought her to the camp, refusal to see her family for the past years. callisto's claiming by hades arrived at the age of sixteen, though her resentment wedges a grudge between the two. with the time she spent in the hermes cabin before being claimed has led her to have a preferability towards the messenger god as well as healthy relationships between his children.

PERSONALITY. the most first and foremost characteristic that most interpret from callisto is her often serious and unsmiling demeanor, not unhappy nor disgruntled, simply devoid of emotion, her silvery cerulean eyes betraying nary a hint. like an enigma, the child of hades is extremely to figure out, even more disliking it when other try to place her down. however, callisto very much likes to talk, even the most uninteresting subject, though she squashes down that temptation to freely talk, bottling her words as much as she does her deep emotions. she hates admittance to weaknesses, so to freely express any anger or sadness she possesses would be rather horrific and shocking to her. the seventeen year old doesn't mind if it isn't a reasonable way to cope with emotions, being the only mechanism she has practiced again and again. to be commanded to do one thing might as well set her off, callisto's unbridled and rebellious side flickering though she'll shove it down with cool and polite words.

as difficult as her shell may seem, it can be just as easily cracked, a much more docile and not as hardened creature, perhaps a bit too trusting and gullible. however, if any proof of betrayal is to come to light, callisto immediately shuts down and builds up her defenses, holding a specific grudge to you, as her fatal flaw. her grudges are to never be broken no matter the circumstances, unwilling to budge for anyone and anything. her cruelty can often surface, setting curses and simple using her powers for the sake of humiliation or annoyance to the one who she aims it to. as much as darkness plagues her, she still has a softer side, taking specific compassion for those who have been neglected and pushed aside as unwanted or inferior. emotions are generally kept at bay, but more than often they leek through, as much as she despises it.
