Kara slid down the bedroom door, defeated. The blows slowly lessened and she weakly cried out,"Stop... Please..." Looking up at him slowly, not too quickly, she tried to scoot away from him.

It was 2:30 am on a brisk, Autumn night. The British double-decker's tires squealed, trying to swerve. It was no use. Melody fell, her leg crushed beneath the monster. Her purse went flying, everything scattered about the road like paint splattered on a new canvas. Melody blanked out.

Melody's breathing slowed, her leg twisted abnormally. She mumbled something incoherent, her eyes closed.

Ashlynn walked out of the mall alone, new crop top and skinny jeans on.

The ambulance finally arrives, and several EMTs rush out, putting Melody onto a stretcher. An officer comes over to Alexandra,"Miss, do you know this girl?" he asks, pointing to the limp Melody being lifted into the ambulance.

"Miss," he says, trying to hold Alexandra back. "What's your name?"

The officer fished a pad of paper out of his pocket. "I need some identification please. I assure you that your [i]friend[i] will be fine." He tried his best to give them both a reassuring smile.

He shook his head. "I honestly don't know her condition. I'm sorry." The ambulance sirens faded as the officer let them both go.

The officer got back into his car and followed the ambulance to the hospital.

Caraline walked into the classroom, a pile of books in her hands. The stack wobbled and collapsed onto the ground. Caraline sighed and bent down, starting to collect the books.

She looked up at him."Oh... t-thanks.." She stood up with all the books back in the neat pile.

She smiles a little back, shyly, before biting her lip and going to sit in the back corner alone.
