Brush nodded in understanding. "Also, Iconoclast you said that Gravelstar might have had 'more than nine lives'? I always thought that nine lives was just a kit-tale. Are you telling me that clan cats actually have nine lives?" Brush felt a bit small at saying that; if everyone else had nine lives compared to him, then he'd have to work nine times as hard.

Brush nodded sagely. "I see...that is a terrifying prospect, the ability to claim lives from another," he spoke grimly. "But I can see how a leader would find many lives useful. I believe that answers my questions for today, thank you." Brush looked up at the sky; it was still quite early. "Perhaps today I could get some more training in..." He said aloud to himself.
