bluefur looked at darkkit. darkkit yawned.

"LET'S EXPLORE BEHIND THE NURSERY!" boomed bluekit. snowkit giggled.

bluestar padded over to tigerstar and killed him with one slash of her claws. "i've had enough of your silly games." she sneered.

blood welled out of the gash in tigerstars stomach. his body had 9 spasms then he went limp. "the rise of scourge..." a voice whispred in her ear.

bluefur grabbed a cobweb off a branch and wrapped up annahearts wound. it stopped bleeding. then she gave her poppy seeds for the pain.

bluefur suddenly turned to darkshade. "scourge." she whispered.

she padded up to darkshade. " anything to tell us?"

blukit and snowkit followed the other two behind the nursery and came face to face with a warrior...

"thank you moonpaw." bluefur turned back to darkshade. " ... why are you looking so coy?" bluefur asked.

" annaheart!" bluefur wailed. then she stopped. she turned to darkshade. "you love her. don't you? help her. we need her to fulfill the prophecy." bluefur blurted.

bluefur winced. "this pains me but so be it! you need to show her affection!" bluefur's mew cracked and faltered. she looked away and winced, suddenly remembering her sore paw. she turned her back. "go on."

bluefur glanced back.darkkit looked at her. she looked back. then she sighrd. why had everything gone wrong?

she started to get up but collapsed. her paw was killing her! she looked at her pads and saw that the were raw and bleeding.

"you, and two others, have the power over three stars, who have many in their paws." bluefur recited the prophecy to moonpaw. the she turned to darkshade. "no herb can heal what is broken inside me. no herb to help heal my paw. i will give them both time. that will be enough."

then bluefur sadly looked away, suddenly feeling embarrassed.

" i wont take the medicine." said bluefur. she suddenly felt a new feeling. a cold feeling. as if she was warning all cat sympathy to keep it's distance. something inside her snapped like a twig...

bluefur hated it when- "don't patronize me, okay?" she asked, in an annoyed tone.

bluefur looked up." darkshade. earlier, i wasnt mad at you and annaheart. i was jealous. " said bluefur.
bluefur sighed. she left then came back with two kits. " darkshade, meet hopekit and rosekit. they are annaheart's."

"annaheart, your kits."

bluefur stepped back, startled. "then why did you pick her?" she asked, more heartbroken that before.
