Bele heard a rustling sound coming from ahead of her. She bolted up a tree, making a racket in the process.

"So it's true then! I always thought it was just a old elder story to scare the kits." Oceanwing said in amazement.
-
Arista grumbled. She had a lot to learn.
-
"Only on the full moon. But I promise I had that dream. Just this morning actually." Yogene said.
-
Bele's heart pounded. She had heard that the wild cats ate bones for dinner, and feasted on small cats like her.
-
Arista looked at the catch. "Nice catch!"
-
"Ok, I trust you." He said.
-
"So did you have the dream too?" Yogene asked the she-cat.
-
Arista looked at Skyfrost. "I guess I better go." She said turning towards Skyfrost.
-
"Do you know what it means?" He asked her.
-
Yogene shuffled his paws. "So I guess we meet at the place you meet."
-
"Of course I know how to climb trees!" Arista said.
-
"What do you want to do?" Paintedclaw asked his apprentice.
-
"We can go back to camp if you want, but you still have an option." Paintedclaw said getting up.

Echokit sat in the nursery as she watched her litter mates turn into apprentices. She was born smaller than them, so Fernflower had insisted for her to wait. Her mother always ignored her, her litter mates were all that she cared about. Echokit had heard her mother call her a rat. Her heart was always broken, she always tried to prove herself to her mother, but it never worked. So far she had tried, swimming in a creek and climbing a giant rock. As the ceremony ended, Echokit left the clearing out of the dirt place tunnel. This was how she always got out of camp. She never got caught. Echokit came to a tree. It was one of the biggest ones closest to camp. She had never dared climb it, but she was going to today. She slid her claws out and got a grip on the bark of the tree and started to climb. She jumped from branch to branch, carefully making sure she had a good grip. Finally Echokit was at at the last branch. It was a bigger jump than all the other ones. She took a deep breath and jumped. Her paws hooked the branch. She swung for a few seconds and pulled herself up. She had made it! She looked down in the clearing, and spotted Fernflower. "Fernflower look at me!" She called. Her mother looked up at her in shock. A gust of wind blew as Echokit lost her balance. She fell from the tree, knocked out.
Echokit woke up by a huge pain in her leg. She was in the medicine cats den. "You had a long fall little one." The medicine cat said. "Just eat these and the pain will go away." Echokit fallowed the cats instructions and ate the herbs. They tasted bitter. Almost instantly the pain eased and her heavy eye lids dropped, letting her go to sleep. A few sunrises had past wen she woke up. She was starving! Her father Deerwalk, layed down next to her. "Where's Fernflower?" She asked. "She's out on patrol." Deerwalk said. "When do I get out of the medicine cat den?" She asked. "Tomorrow." Responded her father. "Great!" Echokit stood up only to find the ground again. "Why can't I get up?" She asked. "You twisted you leg permanently, I'm sure you'll get used to it though." Deerwalk said sadly. Echokit stood up again putting all her weight on her left foot. She wobbled out of the medicine cat den and looked at the camp. It was the same as ever. She went to the nursery and slept there. Two moons had past and she had gotten used to her leg, but still had a hard time. Today she was finally going to become an apprentice! As the leader called all the cat together she padded up to the front. As the leader called her up she looked at all the cats in the clearing. The two she wanted to see sat in the back. Her father's eyes were shining while Fernflower's eyes were cold to the bone. She looked away as the clan leader called her mentor forward. -
"But my dream said to travel. Where do we have to go?"
-
Paintedclaw padded after his apprentice.
-
Lyta waited for him.
-
"I bet there's one by the river over there." He said pointing his muzzle towards riverclan.
-
"Tired already kitty?" Lyta called down to him.
