Huh, really? Interesting. Not sure that really sounds a lot like my writing, but cool all the same ^^

Surprise danced across the she-cat's features, leaving its mark in her eyes. How out of place. By the way she'd judged his character up until now, Dustfur should have begun to notice her weaknesses and exploit them. Not that she complained of course, but her feelings on this sudden note of maturity were conflicting. Truly, the entire discussion was little more mouse-brained as he said, but she wouldn't have thought him capable of noticing. She had expected the verbal battle to continue until she clearly won. Her mind would accept no less. However, that one simple comment put that jeopardy, yet for its truth she could hardly speak against it. And here I was thinking this was going well.
How strange then that while these thoughts rampaged her mind that her opponent avoided her glance. It took a long moment for the reality of such to sink in, but when it did Finalbreath realized that somehow to him, those words acknowledged defeat. Oh she wished she could just relish in that victory, but it didn't mean that to her. This was no more than surrender; a boring way to end things, despite how their conversation had started to drag on. Her ears flicked when he went on. Kits. Perhaps that also was true, though she frowned a little. She took pride in being a warrior, after all. Still, the cream point would have given a slight dip of the head in agreement had the tom not rapidly reverted to his previous ways.
Her eyes narrowed. "Just when I thought we had gotten somewhere," she mewed softly, tail twitching. So she was the only immature one. Yes, she should have seen that coming. Only just several minutes before she had observed how he refused to admit his faults, why should that change? Annoyed with herself, the she-cat turned her head to the side and glanced away. "Obviously, you need to be reminded that you, also, took part in this conversation. The blame never rests on one alone, boy."

Ah ha, so even just their presence must have done something to help this elderly she-cat. Her question may have been direct, but at least she hadn't snapped at them. Besides, the tom supposed he'd probably want to know who invaded his quiet den as well, especially considering the hyper youngster who came along. Who also happened to shout out his name before Shademist had even begun to open his mouth. Smiling a little from amusement, he tacked on, "Yes, and I'm Shademist. Don't mind this one," he glanced to Skippaw, flicking the apprentice lightly on the shoulder with his tail. "I'm pretty sure he must have got zapped by lightning to have this much energy."
The black warrior took a moment then to observe more closely what needed to be done. It had been many moons ago when he was last an apprentice and doing these chores, so his memory longed to be refreshed. They probably were in want of new bedding, although with this storm that could prove challenging, and fresh-kill was rarely turned down. At least this time of year there shouldn't be too many ticks running around. He did recall vividly that dreaded task and was not particularly eager to pick it up again.
"So, what would you like us to do first?" the tom mewed, adjusting his attention back to the elder. Always ask first. Cats liked that. "We're yours to command, um..." he paused for a moment, then gave a small, slightly embarrassed laugh. "It appears that one name was left out of our introductions. What do you go by, miss?" Really now, Shademist thought he could conjure up the name of one elder, but apparently that was too much. Oh well. He had tried to cover up his little blunder with some gentlemanly-like behavior which he could only hope paid off.

Wow, should have posted here last night when I first saw the thread xD
Advanced bios might not solve the issue, but it may help to connect the more experienced roleplayes and encourage others to work toward the same thing. We'll just have to see where it goes with time.
It sounds like a pretty good idea to me, I just have one question: I suppose that you have to make the advanced bios to roleplay in these new areas? I like making my five minute bios -- I can jot down an outline of the character without messing up the idea I have in mind by exploiting every detail about the cat. Yet I am a more advanced/literate/whatever you want to call it roleplayer. I'm capable of making long bios, I just don't enjoy it very much so unless this would seem to be the only way for me to roleplay with someone of reasonable skill, I might not even use it.
Very impressed with how much you're willing to do for us though, Wynn ^^

Gomez? Meh, she's okay as far as Disney people go.
TPBM has a Christmas tree up?

On a small site, a used names list is great. However, on a site this large I think it would be hard to keep up with and rather annoying. You get to a point where you have hardly any names left, you know?
I think twin boards would be too much, but having just one advanced board in each roleplay section sounds reasonable to me.
Also Catalyst, I agree that requiring a sentence for each part of the bio would be a great help. Roleplay examples would be excellent as well, but there doesn't seem much hope of that being added at this point.

Me!

But I pop on and off during the day, so it only kinda counts xD

Really, that works just as well. Or using the intermediate/advanced requests board which seems strangely inactive considering how much interest this idea has achieved.
As I stated earlier, I might not even use these new boards if they're implemented since I don't particularly enjoy making lengthy bios.
I know Midtime -- I love using a thesaurus. Still, especially for people who prefer the more simple, classic warriors names, a used names list gets frustrating. I know it can be annoying to have multiple cats with the same name, but hey, you run into people in real life sometimes with the same name too.

Sure, the more the merrier ^^ Provided Battle and Grim have no problem of course, but I doubt they would :)

Hehe, I'm homeschooled.
I decide every now and then throughout the day that I need a break and jump on here xD

I can't remember if a definite answer was given on this or not.
If you make one advanced-qualified character, can you play all your characters in that section? Or must you do it for each individual character?

Ah, alright then Wynn ^^
Still not sure how much I'll use this, but it'll be cool to have available.

Adair almost could have been born with a scowl on his face.
He greeted the world with a small, annoyed sort of whimper as if he simply did not approve of being dragged into it. Yet one thing stood out. A warm, appetizing smell drifted his way and he determinedly squirmed in that direction, though soon met with having to push past his siblings. Sightless for now, Adair cared not who or what those other lumps were that formed obstacles, for he had a mission. A mission soon rewarded. The pup finally settled against his mother's belly and latched onto a teat to nurse, ignoring anything that else that happened around him. As of yet, that was completely unimportant.

Awesome, thanks ^^
Off to make her bio, then~

Concerning minimums, I don't know, I can see why we might need something. However, I wouldn't ask for more than maybe the six sentences that's been suggested -- That's a good paragraph, which works well for me.
Now, there is one thing that still needs to be addressed I think: Adopted characters. This goes two ways. First of all, if a less experienced player were to adopt a cat capable of being played in the advanced boards, that could create some problems. Second, if an advanced roleplayer adopts a character and wants to roleplay them there but obviously can't edit the bio, what do they do?
And yes Chris, I still think that at least should be implemented with the normal bio because it's near effortless and really, I'll still be almost completely roleplaying on the 'main site'.

Hullo everyone :)
You shall now serve as the means of procrastination for whatever I should be doing right now. xD
