OOC~ If you'd be willing to do that, it would great! Do you think either Genevieve or Cerulean could announce that Midnightpaw is 'dead'? I just don't want it to look like she's disappeared from inactivity, plus it will be more of a surprise once Gen dies and she comes back if that's still the direction of the plot at that point. If not, I can just use Selene to make a thread in WindClan. Now the plot shall proceed, thanks. :)

Midnightpaw shrugged, she wasn't making any progress. She spared a glance at her broken claws. They wouldn't put up much of a fight she knew couldn't be avoided. The cold tone of the deputies voice was definitely intimidating, but fear refused to surface in the sea of other emotions she was feeling. Sarcasm was strong, while her common sense was beginning to fail.

With her question being unanswered, she stared at the roof of her cage, which was just more metal bars. There was nothing to do but wait for what would come. All she could do was hope it would provide some form of escape, whether it be death or not.

Midnightpaw sighed. She knew what came next. She instinctively took a step back towards the other wall of bars. But then she recalled being insulted, and she took another step forward. Her claws remained unsheathed and she kept her eyes open. She decided to keep them open, during the whole experience.

The confusion in her head grew as she waited. There was no part of her that didn't hurt now. The only thing that hurt more then her head, was her heart. "Tell them what you've done." She looked at both of the felines and said. Her voice was surprisingly calm, she didn't fear what was to come. It was important though, that they knew what happened to her. "Tell my clan that I have lived in Inheritedsoul's pawsteps, show them what you have done to me." She wondered if they would follow her request. After all, if they wanted to scare WindClan so bad, they wouldn't they. What would be worse then the sight of their late clanmate?

When the words rang in her mind, she was a bit surprised. But, then relief filled her mind. She didn't show that she had heard anything, so she wouldn't give away what Cerulean had said. Despite the fact that this cat was about to kill her, she knew that she wasn't a bad cat. There had to be souls much, much crueler out there. In fact, in her opinion there was another one in the room with her. To her, Genevieve would always be the cruelest, at least for now.

"My name is Midnightpaw." She whispered very quietly, so she would know what to say when the ScarClanner reached WindClan.

With that said, she stood tall, stared forward, and waited for the blow that would take her away from her mortal form.

It happened so fast, but it was very strange. Just before the blow was delivered, she could no longer feel the pain in her wounds, or even remember what the pain was like for that matter. So, when the blow was dealt to her neck, she felt nothing, before plunging into an equal nothing. It was over so fast.

Almost instantly, she opened her eyes, or at least she thought she did. It was so odd, when she looked around, she saw her limp body on the cage floor. When she looked down at her paws, she realized she couldn't see them. As a new spirit, she was incredibly hard to see, and no starlight glistened in her pelt since she had no yet reached StarClan.

She could almost feel the starry cats reaching down, waiting to help her up to the sky. Just before she let go of the mortal world, she cast a look at Guinevere. Then, the strangest thing happened. She didn't know what it was, but the starry cats presence seemed to vanish. Confusion stole her mind once again.

She was about to be absorbed into Genevieve.

Sea of Forgotten Dreams had been at the vey end of the group of cats, to make sure no one fell or was left behind. The journey was completely exhausting, but they had found prey to eat along the way. She nearly collapsed when they reached their destination, but of course she had been to the general area once before. The Scribe had led the patrol to find this very place. Now that she had arrived to stay, she let out a sigh of relief. Sure there was much work to be done, but things would be better now. It was a good day.

Stellarpaw, the previously unknown cat who she didn't expect anyone to remember, was drawn to the scene. Normally, she would have stayed in the shadows, but something about this particular event drew her in. In her mind, she believed Permafrost was the main cause for the previously Underboss's distress. It seemed as though she despised him a bit more each day, but she tolerated it.

Walking up to the other cats, she watched as others called out in shock. There was nothing she could do, but hope that this wouldn't end the she-cat's life.

Stellarpaw had seemed to vanish for a while, but now she was back, and getting more involved in her clan's events. Being a previous, and still, Impressionist want-to-be, she was drawn to the promise of paint. Although she had been more preoccupied with other things before this, her creative side was beginning to shine through once again. It was a welcome change.

Sorry for the interruption but...Stellarpaw is back! By that I mean, my muse for her has returned, and I intend to keep it this time. Hopefully, her name will be known once again.

I had quite a bit to catch up on though, but I think I've got most of it.

Stellarpaw noticed several cats she knew, and approached. She had spoken to Alice recently, but she couldn't help but wonder who else remembered her. Magni's demotion surprised her a bit. She had thought he deserved his position. But then again, she didn't really trust any of Permafrost's decisions anymore. "I am." She called in response to his call.

Sea of Forgotten Dreams arrived to see the newcomer not long after Piano arrived. Seeing as several others had already arrived, she too figured that someone had already questioned the feline. But, when no one else spoke, she began to think otherwise. Although she wouldn't speak up yet, not unless she had to.

"I too agree, you can trust us completely with this task, I assure you. You will not be disappointed." Sea decided, an aura of finality in her tone. If anything, she was just the tiniest bit excited for this new job. Few things excited her, but this new secretive task made her feel important. She couldn't help but promise that she would put her full effort into any task given to her. There was no slowing down now.
