Haley barely panted,"Well,let's dig in!"she cheered and chewed on a steak.

When Haley chewed off all the meat,she began gnawing on the bone.

IC:"Hey Sandy,come and eat!"Haley called.

Haley chuckled,"Slow down,Sandy."

Demyx put up the rest of the books,then walked around."Aha,how to fix wood."he muttered picking up a book.

He looked up,"Trying to fix my sitar."he said.

Haley jumped onto her own car,"The pound has captured more dogs then usual this year.They have new equipment,and i'm sad to say this.They've turned our own against us.Macey,you'll take patrol.Sophie you stay with me.And Diego,you'll help Macey.".

Demyx sighed,"Who am I kidding,that thing is unfixable.".He slumped down in a chair.

Haley jumped down and walked to Sandy,"Well on my watch,those meanies won't even touch you."she said softly.

"And they won't be able to see you with all that sand!"she added laughing.She playfully prodded Sophie with a paw.

Haley nodded and sprawled out onto a couch,"I hope so."she whispered.

Haley sighed and stared at the midnight sky.

"I guess i could."he said with hopeful eyes .

"I just wish i had thought about that before trying to fix it wnd nearly drowning myself."he chuckled.

Haley slept and dreamt of a warm bed and family that petted het.Suddenly she was out in the rain cold wet and scared.She woke up and sighed sadly.She got up and left the junkyard hoping nobody saw her leave.

"I know,I know."he said.He got up and walked around,"Where's The Pheonix."he muttered searching shelves.

Haley walked past Diego,her tail accidently brushed his muzzle as she slowly left with her tail down.

Not noticing Diego,Haley walked down an alley leading to a neighborhood.She continued to walk along a sidewalk gazing at the lit up houses with lucky dogs that had families.Haley came to a park with a lake and sat at the edge,gazing at the moon reflected water.

Haley heard him and shortly gasped knowing she was caught.
