Rowan and his shadow of a sister, Willow, sat next to one another, silently listening.
Willow flicked her ear with a slight smirk. "Looks like we'll be alright, huh, Ro."
The large tom only nodded as he listened to the conversations around him.
"I do feel bad for some though..." The small she-cat meowed. Her smirk evaporated in to a frown. "There are many great warriors who are just sick...what about them? Or the kits...." Her ears flicked back in thought.
"I don't know.." Rowan mumbled, not knowing how to appease his sibling. Frustrated, they both sighed in exasperation.

Thunk, thunk
"Ugh.." A young she-cat groaned as she tried to sit up. As her mint green eyes opened the scene warped before her eyes. She could barely see through the black clouds that spotted her vision, but she continued to rise. With a graceless stagger, she laid back on to the ground and panted.
Why is it so hot? Hazel thought in her fogged mind. Again, she tried to rise and succeed though she continued to see the annoying black spots. Carefully, she started padding out from underneath her human's vehicle and glanced around. Her eyes widened as she took in smoke that clouded the air and the soot that fell from the sky. Humans ran everywhere, scaring her back underneath the car.
Where are my people? Hazel thought frantically and stared breathing haphazardly.

Kyden burst from the cover of the forest and in to the clearing before the lake. With a wolfish grin, she spotted Astilla nearby and waved her tail enthusiastically. Without stopping, she crossed the grassy meadow, the stone covered shore and dove in to the small waves of the enormous lake.
The fire wolf yelped in excitement as steam rose off of her water soaked pelt and her laughter echoed back in to the forest.
Landon stifled a yawn back at the camp and lazily flicked a fly away from him with a small shadow whip. It buzzed away, deterred by the strange force. He smirked slightly, loving the flow of his power despite what it entailed.
-
Kyden caught the storm wolf's eye and grinned evilly. With a gasp of air, she disappeared under the blue surface of the lake.
Under the water, she steadily swam down a small channel that led in to the forest and got marginally closer to the dry she-wolf.
-
((All accepted! :) ))
Kyden chuckled beneath the water and swam as close to the edge of the water as possible without revealing herself. With a barking laugh, fire shot from her pelt and sent water spraying up at Astilla.
-
Kyden laughed loudly and paddled away, escaping from Astilla while she drank. The fire wolf giggled uncontrollably as she dragged herself on to the shore. With a quick shake of the pelt, her red fur stuck up in spiky clumps.
Landon's violet eyes were no longer visible as he peacefully dozed off.
-
Hazel flicked her ears in confusion. Despite the volume of sound radiating from everywhere, a single mew broke through. It was close, very close. Again, she crawled to her edge of safety beneath the car and peered out, looking for the source.
In the middle of the crowded road laid a white ball of a kitten. Her eyes widened as she watched the kit barely survive under the feet of the mass of bodies. Adrenaline rushed through her small form and before she registered it, she was out among the humans, dashing to the kit.
In what felt like hours to her, Hazel reached the motionless kit. Gently, she took the kit by the scruff and hurriedly padded back to safety.
Gently, she laid the kit down and curled herself around it, feeling as if Snowball may be suffering from shock.
"Are you okay..." She asked slowly, looking down on the kit that stood out against her coal black coat.
-
Landon only opened his eyes at the sound of approaching wolves. He nodded at his Beta and Farrah in greeting before laying his massive head back down on to his equally large paws.
Kyden pouted at Astilla's retreating back, but stayed where she was, enjoying the warming sun far too much to return to the darkness of the forest just yet.
-
Kyden sighed as she noticed everyone's scents were disappearing, mixing with the scents of camp. Lazily, she flopped to her side, not wanting to move anymore. Like a cat, she stretches her long limbs and plopped them back down. Her amber eyes gleamed as they stared in to the forest.
It's much to early to head back now. She smiled as she rolled on to her back and closed her eyes against the sun's rays.
Landon slightly smiled at the smell of more freshkill entering the camp.
It's been a good year. He thought to himself.
-
The darkness wolf finally sat up, done trying to sleep on a nice day. He shook his black pelt and padded across camp, letting his rich fur feel the light of the sun. He grumbled happily at the feeling and continued walking out of camp.
He may be the Alpha, but he still liked to perform the duties of a pack member! His ears perked at the sound of small prey crashing through the underbrush. With the skills of a master hunter, he took off, chasing after the hare that caught his attention.
-
Hazel frowned slightly before trying to give him a reassuring smile.
"You're okay." She meowed quietly. Her eyes traveled out in to the chaos before looking back at the kit. "I don't know what's happening." She replied, trying to be truthful. "But, I can promise you're not dead." Her voice rose in an attempt at light-heartedness.
-
Hazel frowned again and nudged the kit.
"Sleep, little one." She mumbled. "I'll keep an eye on things."
-
Hazel carefully curled around the kit, her black body obscuring him from the outside world.
"My name is Hazel, by the way." She mumbled softly, her eyes looking out at the world. The panic seemed to have died down some or at least moved on. She flinched slightly at the sight of bodies, though. Humans, cats, dogs, so many more littering the ground. She shivered slightly.
-
The black she-cat sighed in relief as the kit fell asleep. Soon her mind was reeling.
Where do we go from here... She thought to herself.
-
Hazel gave up her thoughts with a sigh and rested her head. She would figure something out. Hopefully soon.
-
Lyre stared out at the wolves and horses without seeing them. Her mind wracked itself with corrupting thoughts.
How do I fix myself? She thinks.
"What can I do to make myself trust..." She mumbles out loud. Her eyes follow the riders again and a frown forms. Lyre never felt the trust that she could see before her eyes. Yes, she trusted her comrades, but to what extent? She sighed in frustration, feeling anger towards herself bubbling up.
-
Lyre growls coldly at herself and turns away from the scene. With a heavy lash of her tail, she headed back in to the woods, not wanting to be in the Kingdom, but not really wanting to be alone with her thoughts.

Rowan quickly came upon the lake where Christian slept. Tentatively, she waded in to the water barefoot, careful not to get her shorts wet. With a yawn, she stretched her arms above her head, showing off a thin stomach and curve of her hips.
