The sun shines brightly on the patch of rocks, perfect for a day of laziness and rest. Among the large rocks lays a healthy she-cat. Her long chocolate pelts shimmers red and black in the burning rays while her icy blues study the tree lines around her, enjoying the sounds of birds and small animals hidden in the foliage. She sighs with contentment, but can't help by feel the twinge of loneliness deep within.

    Name: Nicole "Nicki" Grey
    Age: 18 years
Description: Nicki is small and petite with shoulder length dark red, curly hair. She is about 5'4" and 110lbs. Freckles dot her pale nose and she has large dark blue eyes. Her usual attire are torn dark skinny jeans, black high tops and a loose shirt or hoodie.
    Gender: Female
Wife/Husband/Kid/Bf/Gf/Zcrush: None, but is open ;)

    Name: Blake Grey
    Age: 21 years
Description: Unlike his sister, Blake is tall with a lean, muscular build. At 6'3" he towers over many and looks intimidating with broad shoulders and a bad boy look. His hair is dark brown and constantly tousled. His eyes are similar to Nicki's, but seem sharper and, like the rest of him, intimidating.
    Gender: Male
Wife/Husband/Kid/Bf/Gf/Crush: None, but can be a flirt and is halfheartedly looking.

History: Blake and Nicole lived an average life until the Walkers struck. They were forced to flee, leaving their family behind as their neighborhood was attacked. Both siblings hold more than their fair share of guilt over the death of most if not all of their family. Nicole suffers from constant nightmares while Blake gained insomnia. They traveled on their own since the infestation started due to Blake's mistrust.

OOC: I can't post pictures right now but I will when I have computer access. (I mostly use my iPod.)

OOC: My characters will come in soon ^^. I'll wait until drama's died down haha.

The buildings loomed over two figures as they walked along the deserted city streets. Blake stared at the seemingly peaceful area, but his hand rested on the gun in his holster. Nicole walked soundlessly beside him, though her face gave off no indication of what she was thinking. All she did was play with the string of her hunting bow that held it to her back.
"It's quiet." She absently mumbled. Blake nodded in agreement.
    "hopefully, it stays that way."

Blake narrowed his eyes and stopped, hearing a faint sound of a scream and talking, though he couldn't tell where it was coming from. He frowned and looked sideways at his sister to see her looking with the a similar expression to his own.
"Others?" She questioned softly, unwilling to bring unwanted attention to her brother and herself. Blake's frown deepened as he nodded. Cautiously, they continued moving forward, searching for the people.

Among the foliage, a chocolate tabby pads lightly in search of prey. Her ears swivel a top of her head, listening for any sound movement. Skylight stops and crouches slightly with her mouth open as she tastes the air.
"Nothing." She hisses and frowns. Her fluffy tails lashes as she stands upright again and continues along her path. Soon she comes upon a small clearing and stretches. She lays down and just listens, hoping for an inidictation of possible food.

Blake stops dead, hearing a cry, now closer than once before. His head snaps in its direction and his dark eyes burn as they meet Kiki's.
"*hit! Nicole, get down!" Before she can move, Blake pushes Nicki to the ground and leans over her protectively. In a flash, his gun is aimed at Kiki, daring her to make a move.
Nicole stares up at the building and sees Kiki. Her blue eyes widen, in fear for her brother and the stranger.
"Blake. Don't." She whispers anxiously. Blake growls slightly, not moving his gun.

Nicole sighed when she lowered the weapon and shakily stood up. Blake still stood slightly in front of his sister as he studied Kiki.
"Hello.." Nicki said to Kiki, trying to be amiable. "I'm Nicole and this is my brother, Blake. Do you live here?" She looked around at the buildings, wondering how they managed to live in a Walker infested place like a city.
Blake's dark gaze did not lighten up as suspicion wracked his mind.

Nicole shakes her head and takes hold of her brother's arm. "We aren't from around here. Actually, if we're where I think we are, we've traveled across the whole country."
Blake watches Kiki and notices she is looking for someone or something. He looks down at his sister with a quirked eyebrow. She shrugs, having noticed it herself.

Nicole tips her head in confusion.
Blake snorts. "The government. It doesn't even exist anymore." His grip tightened slightly on his sister's hand. She elbowed him, trying not to let him offend the strangers.
"I'm Nicole and this is my brother, Blake." She said quietly, unsure of the bman and whatever the "instructions" were.

OOC: Oops sorry XD guess you already covered names

Nicole pulled her attention away from Deek and looked up to Kiki. She gave her an uncertain half-smile. "Uh..well, I was hoping we could stay for the night...or maybe a few days, if it's safe."
Blake's eyes widened at Nicki's request. "Whoa, Nick, we didn't even talk about this..." He growled softly at her.

At the edge of the room, two cats sats next to one another, awaiting their turns. Rowan, a large and muscular silver tabby, looked about the room boredly, unimpressed by much of what was going on.
"I think we've got this, sis." His narrowed amber eyes looked down on the she-cat leaning against him. Willow purred loudly.
"Of course, Ro." Her pelt blended in to his, making her appear to be his shadow. Her darker silver pelt rippled when she stretched, showing the lean muscles working throughout her lithe body. Her dark brown eyes glimmered mischeviously and with excitement.

Blake scowls and starts pulling Nicki away.
"Blake! What are you doing?" She gasped as he quickly walked away from Kiki and Deek.
"Nicole, it's not safe here. Can't you see that?" Soon, they were off of the roof and in the street. The small woman struggled to remove her brother's hold.
"They're the first decent people we've met! Where are we supposed to sleep?" She asked harshly as she freed herself. A small whimper left her as she rubbed her now sore wrist. Blake's eyes softened as he looked at his "little" sister.
"You aren't safe here. We have to keep going." She could see the determination in his eyes. She sighed softly and sat down on the curb of the police station.
    "Okay. We'll go."

    OOC: Sorry, fixed it

Blake snorted. "We've dealt with worse. We'll just avoid the hotel." He glared at Deek. "By the sounds of it you're no good."
Nicole stood up and placed a hand on her brother, trying to get him to calm down. "Let's go, Blake." Fear was evident in her eyes as Blake grew angry.

Lavendar, a blue seal point Ragdoll, sits upon her Twoleg's porch, watching the dark forests that line the back of her territory. The smell of feral cats is faint, but reaches her sharp senses. Part of the kittypet has always longed for the feel of soft moss under her paws and the life of a wild cat, but her domesticated side always won out, reminding her of the warmth of her plush bed and comfort of her Twolegs' hands. She sighed, wistfully looking out in to the woods.

Blake glares at Kiki and Deek. He snaps his arm away from Nicole and turns his back on the three as he walks away.
Nicole lowers her head slightly. "I'm sorry.." Soundlessly, she goes after her brother and walks alongside him. The two just walk down the road in a deafening silence.
"There are a lot of buildings around. We can set up a camp here, too." Blake states. Nicole just nods. He stops on the corner of an intersection and leans against a stop sign. It was too quiet.

Nicole looked up at the sky, surprised to see it getting late. "Blake, we should find somewhere to sleep.."
Blake nodded and stretched. He looked acorss the road and saw a small store that looked easy enough to get in to. He motioned for Nicki to follow and he crossed the road. He gave an experimental push to the door and found it unlocked. Cautiously, he stepped in, only to find it completely empty. Nicole followed him in and sat down.
"Wow, I can't believe there aren't any Walkers. Kind of crazy." She mused. Blake shrugged and sat on the floor next to her, ready for another sleepless night.

Blake looks out of the large store windows. Night has fallen, but his body still hums with unwanted energy. He rests his head on the wall and looks down at his sister who lays on the floor beside him with her head on his lap. He tense as her hand tightens on his leg. She whimpers slightly in her sleep.
"I'm sorry, Nicki." Blake whispers and strokes her head. Tears spill from her eyes, but she doesn't wake up. She never does... He sadly thinks.
