Emberheart woke up and found the sun blinding her as she woke up. "Another day, another blinding," she quietly meowed to herself.
She got up, back arched in a stretch. She padded over to her plants. She knew there wasn't a herb in the patch. She knew it grew in the dark, a mysterious herb only to be retrieved in the time of need. But that wasn't the time. She saw the catnip growing next to the borage plants.
Emberheart padded out of the medicine cat den. She thought she'd take a walk through one of the tunnels. "Good morning, Nickelstar. You wouldn't mind if I went to look for cobwebs would you?" She asked.

"Thank you, Nickelstar," meowed Emberheart and left, walking toward the West Tunnels.
There was an creepy silence in the tunnel. Emberheart nearly shivered as she looked up for cobwebs. "I regret coming here," she whispered, afraid to wake up any sleeping ghosts (I know, I felt like doing it. Since it's a tunnel and all). She found some cobwebs and she took them with a swift movement of her paw. When she got back, she had a pawful of cobwebs.

Emberheart padded back to the medicine cat den. She looked at the hole in the roof, wondering if she could climb her way out but decided it was impossible with a sigh. She put the cobwebs in a crack in the den wall where she always put the cobwebs. She walked out of the den and wanted to take something from the fresh-kill pile. But there wasn't anything. She padded up to Nickelstar."Nickelstar, we have no fresh-kill. Should I get some? I may be a medicine cat but I can still hunt," she told him.

Emberheart thanked Nickelstar and padded off toward the western tunnels. She stopped at the sound of Neverendingpaw's voice. "Of course you can come!" she told him,"and keep a look out for any cobwebs, I managed to get very little when I came here this morning."
The medicine cat and her apprentice were padding to the west caves. When Emberheart heard a mouse she dropped into the hunter's crouch. And pawstep by silent pawstep she got closer. When she was close enough she pounced. Killing the mouse in one swipe. "Do you want some?" she asked Neverendingpaw.

Emberheart went back to WindClan camp but couldn't stop thinking about Adder. Adder... she thought.
