Shadow stood on the hill, her long black mane flowing in the wind. It would soon be winter, her herd would need a place to stay. Her nicker rang loudly throughout the whole entire land. Barren,no plants, and barely any water.

[br]I am a coarse-coated stallion with lively eyes and long, abundant mane and tail. I cannot swim at all, but I learn very quickly from my mistakes.
[br]My brother mysteriously disappeared when I was a foal.

Solarspeck trotted down the hill. He lifted his nose up, smelling the scent of a mare. He let out a nicker and pawed the ground.

Solarspeck trotted around.

Shadow nickered as she stood on a hill.

Solarspeck trotted over to the mare. " Hi, my names Solarspeck. " He bowed his head. " What is yours? "

Shadow trotted down the soft ground, her long silky black mane flowing in the wind. She nickered for anybody to talk to.

Solarspeck turned his head and stopped his friend, Shadow. He looked at him and just simply chuckled

Shadow watched all the happy horses, smiling and laughing. She stood on the outskirts... No friends, no family, not even a simple mate.

Shadow took off at a canter to the edge of the pin she was in. She pawed at the fence. " Hello? I heard you nicker? But i don't see you. "

Solarspeck smiled. " What a pretty name "

Shadow turned and looked at him, her long mane flowing in the wind. She trotted so she could look at him clearly. " What brings a stallion to a... " She lifted her nose, breathing in the air. " Breeding farm? "

Shadow looked. " Same... I injured my rider at the olympics. They sold me here.. " She looked down, ashamed. She muttered, " to be a top broodmare. "

Shadow quickly slammed her foot to the dirt ground, sending a cloud of dust up. " A breeding farm to me is worse, i used to have a life. " She said shacking her head.

Shadow sighed. " Its fine... " She thought of an idea and pricked her head up. " If I jump this fence and come in there with you, you won't hurt me right? "

Shadow nodded her head and cleared the 6 foot pin with room to spare. She stumbled into him, her flank touching his neck. She was spechless
