Rubypaw rolled her eyes. Lilacbone from Riverclan came and said, "Hey! DOn't make fun of anyone at the Gathering, okay? I'm not saying this because I am bigger and I say so, but it is a time to put aside Clan rivalries and not joke."

Rubypaw said, "Hey! She's a cat, like us, you know!"
She was defensive of everyone, even creepy-looking apprentices that had many scars and were outcasts.

Rubypaw stalked up to Jadepaw. "You're the frinkin mess! You make fun of everyone.... and StarClan won't be happy with you if you make fun of each other."

"Yeah," Said Rubypaw. "She's brave enough to not be a pretty face at the gathering."

Rubypaw said, "Fleas? Phaww! I bet your little rotten heart is riddled with maggots!"

Rubypaw hissed angrily because these apprentices were absolutely disgusting with the way that they strutted and taunted.

Rubypaw fluffed her gray and white pelt. It was soft and silky, but now she looked like an evil pinecone.
"Get. Away. From. Her!" Rubypaw yowled at Jadepaw, defending the scarred apprentice.

Lilacbone shoved Jadepaw. "Did you even hear what I said, you....! Lilacbone could not bring herself to curse to an apprentices' face.

Lilacbone rolled her eyes. "Jadepaw, I will tell your mentor. I am from Riverclan, after all." She then said, "You miight just want to stop, or you will be cleaning the elder's den!"
She hoped that Jadepaw would stop.

Sky tried to squeeze through the window gap.

Rubypaw looked at Lilacbone. "Hi." she said dully.

Lilacbone saw the writhing apprentice. "I'll help you!" she said, and started to massage the medicine apprentice's chest.

Rubypaw said, "Don't be so harsh. She's trying to be friendly, for StarClan's sake."

She bushed out her pelt so that she again looked like an evil pinecone.

Sky said, "I got it!" she turned away. "I BROKE THE WINDOW!"

Fleetpaw was already trying to help others out.

Rubypaw was surprised. "No. I haven't seen any. Nor have any of the warriors."

She took out the dirty bedding, and put down the new bedding.
"Could I get you some fresh-kill and water?" she asked politely.

Lilacbone purred at her apprentice's enthusiasm.
"I'll give you a tip on fishing on the way to the river," she told her.
