"Fawnkit!!! You're not allowed in the apprentice den until you are an apprentice!!!!!!!" Shadestar said, clearly exasperated. "Thunderkit!! No!!!! You're not supposed to get on the high rock!! Robinkit, don't you dare eat those herbs!!! Are you sick????? No!!!!! Pebblekit!!!!!! No going outside the camp!!! Fernkit, I thought I told you to stay in my den!!!!" Shadestar rushed around the camp, wishing there was five of her.

"Crystal, my head hurts...." he whispered.

"Crystal, how far away is the clearing?" Drenol asked in a whisper

"I can make it there." He stood up on shaky legs and hobbled in the direction of the clearing.

"Crystal!!" Drenol yelled. The buck was charging right at them. Drenol pulled Crystal out of the way of the stampeding herd, the buck's herd had followed his lead when he charged. The buck went past them and charged again. Drenol clawed at the buck and it fell over. The herd ran away as fast as they could, and Drenol snarled at the buck. It got up and rushed away behind it's herd.

"I'm fine Crystal. We should get back to the clearing." Drenol nudged Crystal in the direction of the clearing.

"Yes. Can you help me round up the kits? They've been getting everywhere lately. It's really hard to keep track of 5 kits that are almost apprentices." Shadestar said.

"It's okay. I don't mind." Drenol followed Crystal back to the clearing, keping an eye on the trail behind them to make sure the buck didn't come back.

"I don't need to." Drenol replied.

"What about you? Did the buck hurt you?" Drenol asked, anger flaring up in his eyes at the thought of the buck trampling the wolf he loved most.

Drenol pressed his muzzle against her neck lovingly. "I was so afraid you would get trampled by that buck. I couldn't bear loosing you." he said.

"I'm just glad you're okay." Drenol said. He kept his muzzle pressed against her neck.

"I wish I had killed the buck the first time. Then you wouldn't have been in any danger." Drenol said.

"If only I had been quicker, I could have avoided the kick and killed the buck!!" Drenol continued to mutter to himself how stupid he was.

"But it was my fault!! If you were killed I could have never lived with myself!!" Drenol said.

"I do, and if you died, I would never be happy again." He pressed his muzzle into her fur.
