Mudclaw padded twards the freshkill pile and hooked a mouse with the end of her claw and began to eat alone.

Mudclaw returned to find Hawkpaw resting beside the apprentice den . " Hawkpaw?"

" Firestar has arranged for me to be your mentor . " , Mudclaw said with a smile.

MudClaw padded out of the warriors den to find herself being pelted with brown icky gunk.

" Whoa ! and yes . " , MudClaw said laughing.

"Its okay" , Mudclaw says shifting her paws.

"Right now if you'd like" , Mudclaw responded. " It's a good thing that your so eager to learn ."

" Haha , so do you know how to do a hunters crouch yet ? " , Mudclaw asked as she made her way out of the entrance of the camp.

" Ha ! Just do what I do. " , MudClaw said . She dropped down low to the ground with her haunches in the air and her ears forward. " Now just crawl foward , but always make sure to keep downwind of your prey so they won't notice you. " :)

"great job ! If you use that when we find some prey your sure to get it . " , Mudclaw said pleased with her apprentice. " Wait ... " , Mudclaw sniffed the air then glanced at a tree root. She dropped down low to the ground and nudged her way closer very slowly and finally she pounced. " Thats how you kill a vole . " , Mudclaw said dropping the prey at Hawkpaw's paws.
