The sand seems to slice at your face, peppering and stinging your eyes and skin. The sun seems to hold no heat, though warms your skin as the cold breeze blasts at you. All you see is golden sand duns, with the occasion, a lizard and birds. Your mouth parched, and head playing tricks, you notice water. Or could it be a mirage? Do you dare take the chance? You decide its worth the risk, due to the fact your already lost, and begin to race/stumble to the water. As you get closer, you become more desperate, and eventually fall down the sand hill and to water, expecting to splash in a pond of cool relief. But all you find is sand, and the so called water, was a mirage. This is it. This is it of me, you think, only to see a gray and black blurred shape moving towards you at a steady pace. As it gets closer you notice its a horse, a nice dapple gray stallion with a girl riding on its back. It stops about ten feet away, and the girl looks down at you."Do you want to live?" Is all she asks, her blue eyes hard."Then come with me." Theres foreboding in her voice, and secrets hidden. Not waiting for your answer, she turns and trots off, her stallion tossing his head.
