Lioneyes blinked. I have to be dreaming, he thought. I must be. "H-How can I see you?" he stammered.

"Us?" He asked, his blue eyes flickering.

"Oh, of course." he laughed. Why am I so stupid? He scolded himself. His fur grew hot and his face went red.

Oakfeather's spirit brightened when he saw her. "You came!" he exclaimed, bounding closer to her.

He nodded. "Yes you did." he purred charmingly.

Oakfeather's pelt grew hot and he licked his chest fur, attempting to hide his embarrassment. "Sorry." he mumbled.

He looked up, and he softened when he met her gaze. "I feel like I have to though." he replied cooly.

Oakfeather looked down at his paws and scraped the earth by sheathing and unsheathing his claws.

"Uh... so Zafra... do... you live alone?" Oakfeather asked, still looking down at his paws, trying to start a conversation.

Oakfeather blinked at her, sorrow for her burned in his intense gaze. He dipped his head. "I would be glad to keep you company, but my clan would notice my disappearance." He screwed up his face, as he delved into thought.

Oakfeather tensed at her sudden anger. "I-I just want to help, Zafra." he mewed.

Oakfeather shook his head and placed his paw on hers. "Don't be sorry, I understand."

Echoslash watched his apprentice train, love and pride gleaming in his gaze. He shook his head. What am I doing? he thought. She's my apprentice! I can't love her! He shook his head and continued to watch.

Echoslash nodded. "You did it fine. Just watch me and maybe it will help." He demonstrated the move perfectly and licked his chest fur. "Did it help any?"

Echoslash nodded. "It's what Hailstar ordered me to do." he mewed.

Echoslash cocked his head and delved into thought. "I'd rather just go on a walk." he mewed softly.

Poppyleaf purred silkily and licked her between the ears.

Echoslash nodded and trotted out of the Training Hollow. He led the way through the trees, the sunlight glimmering on his pelt and reflecting in his eyes.

He shrugged. "Dunno."
