I tilted my head. I felt blood drip out of my stomach, but I didn't mind. I felt a sudden cat barrel into my side, and yowling, we flew across the clearing. It was Woodstar who was attacking me.

(OK :b I just keep seeing this thread in the new threads (= should I start a thread?)

Oakfeather's eyes flashed with hurt. "I-I... I don't know..." his mew was barely over a whisper. He looked away into the trees. "I'm sorry for bugging you." his tail drooped and he disapeared into the trees.
-
Oakfeather pushed his way through the trees, ignoring any prey that skittered by. His tail dragged on the nettles and he ignored the pain. 'Why was I so stupid? I just screwed it up.' he spat at himself. 'Who was I to insult her like that?'
-
Oakfeather turned around, back in her direction. He took a long breath and pelted in her direction.
When he reached where she was he couldn't find her until he looked up. "Listen..." he fought to catch his breath, his sides heaving. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to insult or under estimate you in any sort of way." he apologized.
-
Oakfeather let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you." he mewed. He sat down and twisted to wash the base of his tail.
-
Oakfeather peered up from washing, his eyes gleaming. "Oakfeather." he answered, with a dip of his head as he turned to face her. "Who are you?" he asked back with a silky purr.
-
A smile played at Oakfeather's lips. "I like that name." he answered with a flick of his tail. He stared into her eyes, but looked away, his fur hot with embarrassment.
-
Oakfeather said nothing, just looked off into the trees. Oakfeather lifted his nose and scented a fox. He got to his paws, he back arched and his hackles rising.
-
Oakfeather let out an attentive hiss and lurked further. The fox was eating the remains of his rabbit. Oakfeather gathered all his energy in his haunches and leapt at the fox.
-
Oakfeather clawed at the fox's face and muzzle, and the fox jumped back. It snapped it's jaws at Oakfeather, and he did the same trick. Oakfeather then circled around the fox, quick as a vole, and swiped it's legs and it fell.
-
The fox turned tail and ran, yelping with pain. Sides heaving, Oakfeather felt a sharp pain in his side. The fox had torn his fur and his flank was bleeding uncontrolably. (hope i spelled that right)
-
Oakfeather stared at her and licked her between the ears. "Thank you." he whispered to her. He then licked his nose in embarrassment.
-
Oakfeather smiled shyly and looked away, licking his lips nervously.
-
"So err Zafra.. Uh.." Oakfeather stuttered nervously. He twitched a paw. "Are you, maybe... Hungry?" he asked trying to start a conversation.
-
Oakfeather nodded swiftly and padded into the bushes. He returned only a moment later with a mouse and two robins. His mouth watered for one of the robins but he decided to let Zafra choose before he did so himself.
-
Oakfeather smiled bleakly and dropped a robin onto the forest floor before eating his own. A feather tickled his throat and he sneezed.
-
Oakfeather glanced at the Robin. He wasn't fairly hungry enough so he picked it up and buried it. Oakfeather laid next to Zafra, gesturing if she would mind if he helped. Oakfeather's whiskers quivered.
