She shrugged," My sister left awhile ago, and my brother died last week. I'd rather not be alone." She sighed.

"I'm sorry, but in a way, you were lucky. My mate left me for my best friend, right in front of me." He sighed.

She sighed and lapped at her pelt.

She finally stopped shaking.

He shook his pelt, as if to chase the memories awAy," No, I'm sorry." He sighed.

"Really?" She asked, acting indifferent as she cleaned her face.

Mistypaw glared at Birchpaw"Oh great and powerful apprentice,"Why have you not one of your servants come to drag me back?" She hissed sarcastically.

"ThunderClan!" She squeaked.

"You lived here then?" He inquired.

"Cool. I was the "outcast""loner" of the clan. Not that it mattered. It made me the quickest and quietest, if that's something to be proud of." He told her.

She pressed gratefully against him, but voiced her fear,"Did it work?"

She laid down sadly.

She fell asleep.

"Well, we learn to climb so we can catch squirrels and attack from above." Jaykit began. "Almost everywhere on our land is forested."

He flicked his tail to touch her cheek, before quickly whisking it away. "It seems like you loved your clan a lot." He murmured.

She woke the next morning and remembered she had been gone the whole day. She silently slipped away from him and slipped back into her nest after cleaning his scent off her.

"We have a lot of undergrowth, so we move silently in the thickest part, and we can catch mice like this." Jaykit recited from what her mother had told her.
