Sunclaw looked as Shadepaw padded into her mate's den. Her chest fluttered with hope. "He'll be okay." Sunclaw jumped as Harley, a rogue who had recently joined, appeared at her side. "I hope so." She meowed, her green eyes watering ever so slightly.

Sunclaw bolted into the den before Shadepaw could get out the rest of the sentence. She immediately appeared at her mate's side, pressing her muzzle to his and twining their tails. "How are you? Are they feeding you? You look pale, should I get you something?" She meowed all at once.

(Sorry, I was away at camp for three weeks.) Sunclaw curled up beside him and licked his cheek. "I love you, you know that don't you?" She meowed staring at him with her round green eyes.

She nodded, smiling. "I know." She meowed. She squealed in surprise as her kits pounced into the cave and on top of her. She laughed and rolled over, playing along.

Inferno grabbed some catmint and horsetail, having no idea what he was doing. He prayed to his ancestors that he was correct on the herbs. He trotted back, his head swinging from side to side with his ears pricked. He slowed as he reached the cave, his hooves making little noise as he headed to the mare. "Name?" He asked the mare gently. "Cidalle." She neighed breathlessly. He snorted, prancing a little to make sure she knew he was running this place. He then stopped and bent next to her. "My name is Inferno."

She swiped him over the ears playfully, swishing her long tail as she giggled.

Bouldertail pricked his ears as he heard something. He didn't recognize the scent. Intruder. He leapt through the bushes and tackled it, only to realize it was a she-cat. He stepped off quickly, brushing the dirt from underneath the frozen ground off of his fur. He looked up. She was gorgeous, the prettiest she-cat he had ever seen. He dipped his snow flecked head. "I'm Bouldertail, and you are?" He asked, shaking snow off the rest of his coat.

His eyes sparked with love, but he shook his head. He had only just met her. Could love at first sight be possible? "Well, I'm very pleased to meet you." He said, flicking his tail to her shoulder.

"My camp is down that way, by the river, I'm patrolling." He said flicking his tail in the southern direction.

She smiled and nuzzled him fondly. "I love you too." She purred.
"Blech!" Moon crowed from behind them. "You'll understand one day." Sunclaw meowed, smiling and shaking her head.

who are you? Mockingjay-Moony ?

Oh, okay.

Bouldertail nodded. "So, what clan do you come from?"

"Wait, you don't have a clan? Or even a mate?" He asked hopefully.

"That's horrible!" He meowed in a deep voice, brushing against her sympathetically. "Would you like to come see if you could live with me-I mean my clan and I?" He asked, his pelt still pressed against hers. He had noticed, but pretended not to, so he could have an excuse to stay close to her.

He quickly brushed off of her. "Stay here." He meowed, turning and walking back towards camp.

Bouldertail walked into camp and headed towards his leader's den.

Sunclaw licked Scalestar's cheek. "Are you okay?" She meowed quietly, stroking his back with her tail.

Bouldertail approached his leaders den carefully, if this went wrong, Sapphire wouldn't have a home with other cats.

Bouldertail flinched slightly under the harsh tone. "I met a she-cat on the border. She has no home, or at least not one with cats around. She needs a home and I was wondering if she could stay." He meowed ready for his leader to call him crazy.

"Nothing at all." He said quickly. "Ravenfeather and I are talking actually. Just wondering." He turned and padded out of the den. What was he thinking? She was just a random she-cat that he had nothing in common with. He made a decision. He ran to Ravenfeather. "Will you be my mate?" He meowed, wrapping his tail around hers. Ravenfeather stood, her eyes filled with love and tears. "Of course." She meowed. "There's something you should know. I'm expecting your kits." She meowed quickly. Bouldertail stood frozen with shock. "This is amazing!" He meowed. "When did you find out?" He asked. "Pebbleleaf told me." She purred. "I'll be right back." Bouldertail ran into the woods and skidded to a halt in front of Sapphire. "I'm sorry, but I don't know what I was thinking. You cannot stay with my clan. Goodbye Sapphire." He meowed. He turned and ran back, fearing that he would not be able to deal with the pain of her reaction.

Sunclaw watched Bouldertail disappear out of the cave. That was odd. She thought, shrugging and then turning back to lick her coat.
