Shadowsight laid in the nursery waiting for the Medicine cat to arrive. She shrieked with pain, "THEY'RE COMING" She held her breath trying to ease the pain but it didn't help, in fact it made it worse. She lifted her head to see the Medicine cat walk in, she sighed with relief.

Shadowsight walked up to them. "Hi," she mewed through the squirrel in her mouth "I'm Shadowsight." She looked around.

Shadowsight was sitting at the fresh kill pile eating a squirrel. She looked around at the cats in the camp, she saw Mousefoot, Brightstorm and their kits playing in the clearing. "Sigh, why can't I be more like them." she mewed to herself. She turned back to her half eaten squirrel and suddenly lost her appetite.

"No, not really." she mewed looking back at Mousefoot and Brightstorm.

The she-cat smiled and laughed. She looked up at his mother. "He's funny." she mewed.

She jumped and looked at him. "Oh no I'm fine." she lied and smiled a fake smile.

"Yes," she said her eyes saddened as she stared at the two cats. She looked down at her paws.

Shadowsight laughed and put her tail over small kit. "Come here." she mewed, smiling.

"No, that's alright." she smiled at him.

"Sure." she said standing up.

"I don't know where he is and yes, you will make a wonderful warrior Smallkit." she purred.

"Okay." she laughed. She stood up "Come on." she mewed as she walked out of the den.
