Jackie leaned in. She was listening to her friend with mild interest, but just enough to keep herself occupied. "Really? Why do you say that?" Inquiring about her interest in one of the performers; and his supposed reciprocation of that interest. Jackie was aware that Tara didn't have much luck with boys, and maybe she had read too much into things. To be honest Jackie hadn't had much luck either. She'd only kissed one boy in her whole life, and it wasn't even that great. She could remember how he kissed like an octopus, and how her 15 year old self had pulled away in shock; only to start crying and dash away as fast as she could. Jackie cringed at the memory as her gaze locked on the lead on stage. she only realized she had been staring so intensely when Tara announced she needed to pee. Jackie nodded and took a sip of her beer. The dark brew swished around in it's thick glass and she watched it lackadaisically. Aside from Tara being here and a cute band on stage, the atmosphere was too loud and light was nearly nonexistent. The night was getting boring fast and she was about to take another sip of beer before she saw Tara stumble. A blur of motion, a rush of air, and a cataclysmic accident played out before her eyes. Jackie watched frozen as her friend toppled over. Her drink slipped from her grasp and the liquid splashed onto stage. Jackie was still stuck seated when the lead singer stopped playing and scowled at his shoes; now ruined. D*mn*t Tara! She hissed. She cast a sympathetic glance up at the young man and blushed madly in secondary embarrassment. She noticed he didn't stay mad for long though. Tara began suggesting peace offerings to the boys. She would buy them drinks in exchange for her clumsiness. Jackie rolled her eyes. Did they even have the money for that? The young woman licked her lips while her eyes drifted over to the other three who seemed as caught-off guard as she. Jackie figured she had no choice but to go along with it. Maybe this would be a good idea after all. She sat in silence learning their names. John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Nice! She thought. Suddenly she perked up at Tara announcing her name. Jackie sat up and waved at he boys with a good amount of red coloring her cheeks. A surefire sign of attraction, and she was sue John guy knew exactly what she thought of him now. The woman felt her breath catch in her throat and she looked like a deer in the headlights. "Uh, Yeah that's me! Jackie..." As much as she tried to seem calm on the outside, the pained look on her face told all.
George stood behind John. He didn't say anything but a mere wave to both girls. He was glad they could stop and have a drink. His feet hurt after all, and his arms were getting sore from playing. Along with everyone else, George jumped off the stage and adjusted his suit. The brunette that had initially caused all of this caught his attention. She seemed so eager to make it up to them, but he could deal with it. He'd feel bad if she went and did all that for them honestly. She was so pretty come to think of it; like a flower too good to be picked, but one couldn't resist. "Don't go to all that trouble miss, Tara was it?" George stepped through the other boys and to the front where he held out his hand for Tara to shake. "I'm George, but you already know that, I'm aware." he chuckled and gave a cheeky grin.
