IC -- Aurora's eyes nearly popped out of her head when she saw Cinder running toward them, and she couldn't hold back a gasp when she jumped onto the man, who released her quickly. Figuring Cinder could take care of herself for a second, she began to look around for a way to cut her ropes. Her eyes wandered back to Cinder, who's foot was by a knife in the man's pocket. "Cinder!" She shouted. "There's a knife in his pocket by your left foot. Can you get it?"

Aurora gasped, mentally slapping herself. She ran forwards, head out, and ran into the side of the guard, who stumbled a little bit.

OOC -- Because I'm stupid, can you tell me whether the guard stabbed her or she misjudged the difference and the knife in his pocket stabbed her?

Name: Adelinda
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Adelinda was one of the smallest of her litter when she was born, but she grew quickly. By the time she was six moons old, the wildcat blood that she had was obvious. Her shoulders were broader than most females, and her paws are a bit bigger in proportion to the rest of her. Despite her blood, the bulk of her body is lean, disguising her strong muscles. All around, she's grown into surviving the clan that she lives in.
When she was born, her fur was mainly silver, with a few tabby markings on her face and tail. Her ticked flank and tabby-patterned legs came in a few moons later. The white fur on the crest of her chest tends to stick out a little bit, and is softer than most of the rest of her fur. Even though her eyes are a very bright, true blue, they are one of her least-noticed features, following only her long, silvery-white whiskers.
Personality: Adelinda has slowly turned herself into a survivor, instead of a murderous, bloodthirsty predator like most of her clanmates - and siblings - are. Instead of picking fights, she prefers to stay in the shadows, eating and serving her clan, but trying to avoid bloodbaths. She had learned through her habit of eavesdropping that in order to avoid becoming a tool and object for the tom’s enjoyment, she was expected to survive in a battle against an apprentice for five minutes. Consequently, she lives her life by merely surviving instead of proving her strength every chance she gets.
Though she chooses not to fight when given the choice, her lean body, broad shoulders and large paws combined with natural talent and instinct make her a challenging opponent in battle. A dark, murderous, predatory side comes out when she fights, which is another reason that she likes to stay away from it when possible.
Like most people with a dark side, Adelinda has a soft side as well. Some like snow, some are suckers for brown eyes, but all who know their soft sides hide it when part of a rogue clan such as The Betrogen’s. In Adelinda’s case, it’s rather easy to hide hers, since the only thing that really pulls at her heartstrings are lizards. It’s odd, but they fascinate her to no end.
Plot ideas: Hmm...maybe she could fall for a clan prisoner, then they get caught and punished. Something like that, except maybe more dramatic.

Almondfur padded into the warriors’ den, admiring the work she had done earlier to expand it for the incoming warriors. She tried to stay lighthearted so that she could get some rest, but Rainshadow’s words weighted down her mind until she couldn’t avoid thinking about it anymore. Is it really that bad that I’m not the deputy anymore? She asked herself. I probably have a bit of authority over the warriors that were in Graveclan, as they’d probably still have some respect for me, and I have no doubt that I would become the next deputy, as long as Bloodstar puts his word in.
She sighed, settling deeper into her nest and closing her eyes. She was tired, as she should be; it had been a long day. Before the sun had risen, she was awake and organizing the morning patrols, and had been hunting when she was called to the battle with Cloudclan. After the battle, she had helped Cloudclan’s deputy, Heatherwing, expand some of the dens to accept her clan, Graveclan, the cats they had just battled.
The battle. Why did it seem like an odd thing to Almondfur? She had been in many battles before, as they were no strange thing to members of Graveclan. But looking back at today’s battle, there was a huge chunk of time where she had absolutely no recollection of what had happened.
“So, Almondfur.” A deep voice sounded from behind her, causing her eyes to fly open and a chill to run down her spine. “You don’t remember what happened at all?” Almondfur opened her mouth to reply, but no sound came out, so she moved her head side to side with the smallest movements she could manage instead.
She heard a deep chuckle that echoed in her head, forcing her to close her eyes and try to expel the pain. When she opened them, the pain was gone.

So was the camp.

It took Almondfur a while to figure out that she was back in the clearing where the two clans had clashed earlier. She looked around, but no one was moving. It was as if she had been sent back to look at one second in the past, and nothing more. After a bit of searching, Almondfur found her body on the battlefield. It was truly odd, and she walked around looking at herself, trying to see if something had happened to her that had caused her memories to disappear.
She nearly screamed when she saw her eyes. They were black as a starless night, seeming almost dead, which was a huge contrast to their normal light green. What could have done that? She wondered. The first idea that came to mind sent a shiver down her spine, but she had to see if her guess was correct. She followed the eyes to see if they had seen something, anything, that could have done this to her.
At the edge of the clearing, she saw a huge, strong-looking black cat with seemingly dead black eyes, just like the ones on the version of her that was on the battlefield. Green eyes widened in fright, but she thought it through for a second and calmed herself. Time was frozen, so there was no way for him to be able to move. One deep breath later, she started to pad towards the behemoth of a cat, determined to find out what he had done to her - and her memories.

And then the cat’s paw came forward.

Almondfur felt as if her heart stopped. Nothing could move besides the two of them. There would be no one to help her if she died. Merely a split second later, she turned tail and bolted to where she knew the Graveclan camp was, not stopping to second-guess herself or to see if the cat was pursuing her.
When she reached the camp, the exhausted Almondfur bolted towards the leader’s den instinctively. She half-leapt into Bloodstar’s nest, curling up into a tight ball, as if that would protect her. Though she knew she wasn’t much safer here than anywhere else, she felt safe. And since she felt safe, she would be able to calm herself down and think her way out of this nightmarish situation.
The black cat’s presence hung in the air like dead weight, an odd thing that reminded her of the powers people have in their dreams - or nightmares. She rammed her eyes shut, hoping beyond reason that somehow, doing that would beam her back to present time, and out of this horrible nightmare of hers.

It worked.

Somehow, when she opened her eyes next, she was back in her nest in Cloudclan, relatively safe. She was shaking, but even more exhausted than when she had first padded into the den. Not able to hold her eyelids up any longer, Almondfur closed her eyes, sinking into a dreamless sleep, not aware that she was now being watched by the black cat, who sat in her mind, out of reach of her conscious mind, but there all the same.

Almondfur woke up, knowing she couldn't delay it much longer. It took her a second to remember where she was, and once she did, she wanted to go to sleep again. Instead, she forced herself out of her cozy nest, and into the sunlit camp.
