The sun was getting low in the sky. "I'll be back Hawkclaw, I'm just going to get some herbs, for energy. We'll need to stay alert on our night-time guard shifts." Ace meowed quietly to the cat next to him. He got up and padded toward his makeshift den. Thinking of Nocturnal and the threat he posed, he decided to get some healing herbs too.

Ashkit let out a faint squeak as she was pushed towards her mother. Finding warmth near her mother and sister, she drifted off into sleep as her brother was guided into place next to her. -
"Don't worry, I won't be long." he meowed and disappeared into some bushes. After a few moments he reappeared carrying a small bundle of roots. He padded up to Hawkclaw and set them at his paws. "Alright, this should do it. It's called ginseng. It's kind of bitter, but it should keep us awake."
