Obsidian knew Kazkan immediately. Her brain pulled back the images from her vision, the image of a tom. Kazkan. That was definitely, without a doubt, him. The kitten listened to him attentively and began to speak politely after he had finished. "I'm sorry about your parents... Kazkan is a wonderful leader though. I knew him quite well, even mothered his kits." What. The. Fuck. What did she just say? Why? Oh Starclan.

It was Wildfire. She didn't realize it of course, but Wildfire's memory had overpowered Obsidian's taking hold of the kitten for that brief moment.

"Anyways... If you don't worship Starclan, who do you worship?" The femme tilted her cranium to the side once more in curiosity.

[Ok just saying this is the most intricate, beautiful love story/couple ever. In history. OMFG.]

"Irony?" Obsidiankit whispered the name in between coughs without realizing the power behind that name. Opening her eyes and looking around a bit between each heaving, brutal cough, the she-cat spied her savior. "Limekit! You're here!"

Obsidiankit nodded dutifully, taking his advice. She proceeded to inhale deeply through her nose which worked for the the first few breaths. Then she started sputtering again, but this time it was even worse, as she had been trying to suppress her coughing. Suddenly the kitten got up and walked away from Limekit. She knew something was coming. And then... she coughed up mucus. A lot. The kit looked at it and jumped back, recoiling in sheer disgust. Her ears flattened against her head and her eyes widened in surprise. That had been in her lungs? Choking her? Suffocating her? Holy shit! And that was just plain nasty! Dear Starclan what was happening...? In an effort to save face, the kitten turned her back to Limekit and tried to shield what she had just done. She didn't want him to see her like this, so weak and so sick. Plus, that mucus was just.... ew. Beyond ew.

Fearlessly, the kitten walked forward into the lion's den, eyes narrowed slightly and hackles raised. "I am Obsidiankit of Shadowclan, daughter of Pictureperfect and Trackerjacker, Deputy and General respectively. I have no quarrel with any of you. I am in search of a cat who's name begins with 'Blue'." Of course, she wouldn't tell them why or what she exactly intended to do with him or her when Obsidiankit found them. "Do you know of such a cat?"

Fearlessly, the kitten walked forward into the lion's den, eyes narrowed slightly and hackles raised. She politely ignored Marilynkit's comment and didn't even give her enough respect to acknowledge her existance.

Obsidiankit nodded to Limekit greatfully. "Coughing isn't the only problem Dad..." Trying to balance and get to her feet the kitten took a couple of steps towards Trackerjacker before breaking down into a coughing fit again. With a sigh, the cotton ball kitten revealed her sides. It was quite hard to tell underneath all that fur, but she was scrawny and thin, every rib, every vertabrae clearly evident. "I eat and eat... but I don't put on any muscle or weight..." Turning to Inkpaw she frowned. "Is there anything you could do?"

"This particular 'Blue' attempted to slaughter my adopted brother, Johnnykit. I simply wish to know the cat's full name and whereI might find them. That is all." As Obsidiankit stared at Cameowaltz, a shiver went down her spine and a feeling of strong deja vû arose. How odd.

    [Ok thank you ^^]

"I am simply a kit on a quest. I had politely waited on your border for a patrol to escort me, but alas, none came. Thus, I took matters into my own hands." Obsidiankit shrugged off the hostile tone of the kitten and eyed the Thunderclanners warily. "This particular 'Blue' attempted to slaughter my adopted brother, Johnnykit. Does that ring a bell by any chance?"

Obsidiankit flinched backwards, eyes wide. NO! NO NO NO! "I can't! I should be dead then! I'm the daughter of Pictureperfect and Trackerjacker. I live a normal life." Besides those stupid visions... "I can't be! Wildfire is long dead and gone. She's nothing but a distant memory, a flicker and the shadows of what has come to pass. We are entirely different people."

But it made sense. And Obsidiankit recognized the truth deep down in her heart.

The visions, the odd sayings, such as 'hun' and 'sugar cube', he way she knew a cat's history, name and personality before she even saw their face. The way she was able to get into perfect fighting stance when having a mock battle with the other kittens. The way she swelled with pride for her mother and the way she always watched Trackerjacker with a close and cautious eye, making sure he treated her mother right. It was how she blurted out to a Scarclan kitten that she had bore Kazkan's kittens, how she had an unnatural fascination for her deceased grandmother. Everything clicked, everything matched up. The puzzle pieces finally fit.

"Y-you're right... and... but... How? How can I live up to her legacy? How ddid you figure it out? And if you're not who you thought you were... Who are you Limekit?"

Again, the she-cat stood stock still, letting a final vision envelope her.

Two cats together. The first she recognized as Wildfire, the cat she always saw in her dreams, the female who looked like she was literally set ablaze. Beside her was a tom, scarred and handsome, strong and leader-like. Wildfire was there, nursing her kittens with the tom fondly looking on. Obsidiankit walked closer, daring to get a better look at their children.

    Frenchresistance. Tuxedomask. And...

    HER MOTHER. HOLY. SHIT.

Obsidiankit, who could only see the tom's back finally gathered the courage. With a paw, she tapped the father's back to see a face she both loved and resented, a face she could never endure without seeing daily.

    "Irony..."

"Thank you for your hospitality. It's deeply appreciated." The kitten bowed courtesly and managed a soft, warm smile. "I'd like thaf very much. I'll rest for now, but my folks will likely worry deeply. You see, I came on my own accord. My brother told my his assailent resided here and so I came alone. In any case, thank you. I will depart first thing in the morning tomorrow. That is, if you don't feast on my flesh tonight." The kitten chuckled in amusement, obviously joking.

For a kitten, Obsidian had quite the large vocabulary. It could easily be seen as odd, but she was clearly oblivious to it. She had no idea of the reason behind it. Obsidian had no idea she was the reincarnation of Wildfire.

Turning to Teenagekit, she beamed like a ray of sunshine. "Thank you! My brother lives with me back in Shadowclan. I'm not sure why 'Blue' attacked, but I intend to even the score someday."

Obsidiankit looked at Moxiestar with awe. Now that was how to handle the situation! Finally, someone who could crack down on injustice. Bowing deeply, the kitten looked up at Moxiestar with a mixture of gratitude and wonder. "Thank you ma'am. It is deeply appreciated." Looking around at the other Thunderclanners, the kitten bowed once more. "That is all I needed to hear. Now... I best be off. My folks are likely quite concerned about me. Thank you for your time though."

Turning back, Obsidiankit began addressing the inquires. "My brother, Johnnykit, said his assailent resided here. I'm simply in search of the 'Blue' that hurt him. That is all the information I was given I'm afraid."

Turning to Teenagekit she grinned ecstatically. "Duh! You're my best friend dude! Well... when it comes to cats in other clans I mean." Obsidiankit giggled. "I'll miss seeing you around though."

Ooc ;; I love obsidian so much xD

Ic ;; In a bitter-sweet manner, Obsidiankit licked Teenagekit's ear and smiled. "Hey, maybe we can go on a quest together someday!" The femme bounced up excitedly, purring like rolling thunder. "For now though... I guess I have to go. We'll probably only see eachother until there's a gathering or something." Obsidian sighed. "And by that point we'll be apprentices. And thats SO far away." Frustrated, she frowned. "So I until then... goodbye."

Ooc ;; they should have a private thread before she leaves! Could you perhaps make it though? Im on vaca ^^ Shadowclan is going to make a "rescue" thread for her here in TC, where Obsidiankit explains everything and all is well

Ic ;; "Until then... Farewell everyone!" And with that, the kitten made her way back towards Shadowclan.

Obsidiankit smiled happily; although it seemed at first that Marilynkit had a stick shoved up her ass, the Shadowclanner had now taken a liking to her. "Thanks. Well... Johnnykit is my brother and I love him to bits. I'd fight any cat in the world to help him!" The she'cat declared this loudly while puffing out her chest. She truly meant every word, although she couldn't understand the heaviness to it.

Tail high, she followed the other kitten to lodging quarters.

    [Sorry still on vaca...]

"It doesn't matter who you call me. I'm the same person. I'm simply being given a clean slate. Same goes for you." Obsidiankit pondered over this, deep in thought. "However... those lives don't necessarily define us in our present. We were given another chance for a reason. Not sure why, but that's how it is."The teeny tiny kitten smiled up at the reincarnation of Irony happily. "We should go on normally! Embrace who we were but continue on. Its not like we can change things. Besides, we both led noble lives. Its not like we should be ashamed! But..." The kitten trailed offsadly. "I still don't remember everything from my past life. Things are still a blur, a mystery. Like... my death. I don't know how I died. Or where I went after that." With honest, innocent optics, Obsidiankit gazed at Limekit. "Do you remember? Your death? Wildfire? Anything?" Then she froze. "Limekit. Were... Irony and Wildfire mates?"

The kitten stepped back slightly, gazing at the handsome Shadowclanner in front of him. If it was true, did that mean they had to be together? Or was this the universe telling them to seperate and search for something more this time around? How did she know she could fall in love with the same person all over again and still feel sparks, still breath the magic in the air? Was it something you obtained by chance or by experience? By fate and luck or some earthly interference? Limekit was attractive and he seemed like a clever, nice guy and all, but how would she know he was the one? They were only kits! Then again, it would be nice to have her prince in shining armor, the kind she heard stories about growing up. And perhaps Limekit was, and had always been, her savior on a stunning sterling stallion.

"And if we were... what do we do now?"
