Thrushfur lay sprawled on the ground in a sunny spot at the camp, listening to all the wonderful noises around him.

"Hello, Crowfrost." Thrushfur meowed politely. "Want to hunt, see what we can find?" Then he noticed Iceheart staring at them. " You can come too, if you want!" He yowled quietly at her.

"Cool." Thrushfur mewed. "You coming, Iceheart?" He added.

Lilykit sat in the nursery, bored out of her mind. Then she saw Icestar and Windshimmer leave on patrol. Should I go on patrol too? she thought to herself. Nah, I don't want to get in trouble. Then she flopped down on her soft moss bed.

"Come on, then." Thrushfur said. He padded out of camp, and suddenly scented a thrush. He dropped into a low crouch, then stepped on a twig. The bird, chirping an alarm call, flew away. "Fox dung!" Thrushfur hissed. Then he added to his patrol, "I know it's my name, but I've never had much luck with thrushes." He let out a mrrow of amusement.

As Lilykit started to fall asleep, she scented another cat. She then saw a shape loom over her. "Ah! Intruder!" Lilykit yowled. She tackled the cat, then realized who it was. "Icestar!" She said.

"Ha! I was right! Intruder!" she yowled again, toppling over the she-cat. She wrestled her for a bit, then pinned Icestar. "You surrender yet?" Lilykit growled playfully.

"What in the name of Starclan?" Thrushfur asked. "Was that a kit, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?"

"Yeah!" Lilykit meowed quickly. "Please, tell me!" she meowed excitedly.
