    The deer winced as the splash coming from Hestia sprayed into her, and Doe quickly pulled herself from the crowded water. She shook her pelt free of the warm liquid and looked over her shoulder to watch the others. Doe felt her temperature quickly change and soon she was freezing cold from the remaining water cooling off. Hesitantly the mule deer doe slid back into the water, flinching at any spray of spring water that flew at her.

    Doe's gaze focused on Hestia as her paw turned into fire. The mule deer doe leapt from the pool in a flash, letting out a distressed bleat, she did not like fire!

    A bay mare with darkened forehead, legs, and rump.
    •Personality:
    All depends on situation and environment. Reserved with strangers, friendly with known horses. Humorous/fun at easygoing times, serious and calm at difficult times. Not easily pushed around though willing to put the herd ahead of herself. She can find herself competitive of other mares and short-tempered around pushy stallions. Will develop more later on.
    •History:
    Clouds was born to a captive mare that had bred with a mustang when she accidentally escaped. The mare had been restless and she was in heat, and in a desperate attempt to breed, she leapt the fence keeping her contained and raced to the nearby herd of mustangs. Clouds was unexpected, but not unwanted when she was born. For the first two years of her life she stayed with her mother and her owners. Abruptly their owners went bankrupt, and with no money to keep the horses they simply abandoned them and moved in with relatives. After several weeks the pasture was barren and dry and fall was approaching. Clouds and her mother escaped the field and ran off to find the mustang herd, yet they were nowhere to be seen. Into day three of their escape Clouds' mother died of heat exhaustion and Clouds was left to fend for herself. She had avoided stallions for about a year before letting herself be accepted into a herd, which she ended up leaving after the lead stallion died. By this time Clouds was around five years old, and had lived on her own ever since.

    The lone mare's steps came to a halt as she surveyed the land before her. Clouds approached the small body of water eagerly, dipping her head to gulp down the refreshing source. She lifted her head momentarily to cough and choke on water swallowed too fast, then continued to drink for another several seconds. Clouds inhaled a deep breath of air, her narrow ears perking to the sound of the wildlife nearby. It was a comforting sound and within minutes Clouds was tearing up the grass at the water's edge, feasting hungrily on what was supplied to her.[/size]

    Clouds lifted her head to the approaching stallion, staying quiet while viewing him cautiously. She nickered back and edged away, although interest was shown in the way her ears perked and the bobbing of her head. The mare temporarily accepted him, stepping forward to inhale his scent. Her hooves moved this way and that, her weight shifting onto each leg as she pondered on what her next move would be. Reluctantly, Clouds stepped back and continued to graze, keeping a watchful eye on the stallion. She would stay with him, for now.[/size]

    Yeah, I wanted something to do with hunting, and deer was close enough. Thanks! I love making banners, and when you find a good banner-making source and have an idea they turn out pretty easy to make.

    Her senses heightened at the approach of another stallion, and the mare watched him warily and noted every move. After evaluating his behaviour and approving his presence Clouds took in the scent of Rouge, just as she did with Cinder. Clouds eyed both stallions' behaviour, nickering quietly to herself, then turned away to return to the pond. At her arrival Clouds eagerly gulped down the water and took several steps in until she was chest deep. She relaxed at the refreshing feel of the water, a nice retreat from the sun for once.[/size]
