Thunderpaw gave his chest a few licks in embarrassment.
"I'll get it this time, Swiftclaw," he announced quickly. He dropped back into hunting crouch this time moving a bit more quieter, his tail still waving about, just not as violently as before.

    Talonstar purred comfortingly.
"It was an accident. You fought like all of TigerClan!" he protested.
"Besides, things like these can give you more experience as a warrior. We'll get you patched up and you'll be fighting again in no time."

Ooc: anyone want to be medicine cat? XD

Ooc: You are accepted! :D you are also a story saver, wise medicine cat;)

Ic: Talonstar looked at her through living eyes.
"Of course," he purred as the camp entrance came into view.
"Kits would be wonderful!" His eyes glowed.
"The clan could use some new warriors," his whiskers twitched in excitement.
"They'll be the most beautiful kits in all the Clans!"

Thunderpaw sunned himself on the stump next to the apprentice den. It's hard to believe that I've been an apprentice for a whole moon already! He thought happily. He had finally gotten that rabbit hunting technique down. Eager to do something to improve his progress, he scanned the clearing for Swiftclaw.

Duskfur padded into camp with a few mice dangling from her jaw. She glanced sympathically at the nursery, knowing Winterflight was probably already cooped up inside.

Talonstar watched the medicine cat with the rogue, feeling a rush of axienty coarse through him. No cat derserved to die like that. He couldn't bear to see the poor thing die.
"Littlecloud, will the rogue be ok?" he asked nervously, trying not to distract the medicine cat.

Stone-ears raced across the clearing to meet his leader.
"Is everyone ok?" he surveyed the cats, eyes falling on the rogue.
    "Who's that?"

Thunderpaw spotted Blackpaw across the clearing. Getting into his best hunting position, he creeped over to Blackpaw silently. Just a tail length away from the other apprentice, he bunched his muscles, ready to pounce.

    Duskfur purred in amusement.
"Flameheart's just doing what's best. Although, he is a bit over cautious sometimes," she mewed.
"How are you doing these days? Has Swiftclaw been by the nursery today?" she questioned.
"I haven't seen him around since dawn."

Thunderpaw leaped right past Blackpaw as the other apprentice moved away. Thunderpaw yowled at the jab to his side, landed sideways on his feet, and twitched his ears in frustration.
"You're not gonna get away with that!" he meowed loudly in playfulness.

Talonstar lowered his head in grief for the poor cat before him.

Stone-ears did not question his leader anymore. He too also lowered his head slightly, still watching Littlecloud, Leafstorm, and the rogue carefully.

Thunderpaw flicked his ears in concentration then leaped again at the larger apprentice.

    Duskfur purred.
"I'm sure he'll visit soon!" she encouraged. She licked her forepaw and rubbed it over her ear.
"It feels great to be back on warrior duties!" she mewed delighted.
"One thing I didn't like about the nursery was being cooped up all the time! The kits make it worth every minute of it." her eyes clouded over as she remembered her three beautiful kits all by her side in the nursery. "I bet your kits will be beautiful," she mewed softly to Winterflight.

Thunderpaw listened to his mentor intently. If he was going to beat Blackpaw, he would have to learn something that could really knock the large apprentice off his feet. He flicked his ears and glanced at Blackpaw, whiskers twitching in anticipation.

Talonstar blinked and examined the rogue's body closely.
"He does look kind of familar..I can't seem to put my claw on it though..."
    He tilted his head slightly.

Stone-ears flattened his ears and trotted away, not wanting to be involved in this matter.

Talonstar padded around the clearing restlessly. He desperately wanted to go looking for Featherfoot but he wanted to give her some time. Never the less, Talonstar was still worried sick. About Featherfoot and Leafstorm. He twitched his whiskers as Littlecloud spoke to him, grateful for the distraction.
"Yes," he mewed to Littlecloud,"Let's go into my den. We can discuss anything there." he began to trot over to his den, thoughts still filled with the two missing cats.

Thunderpaw twitched his ears, waiting for Blackpaw to get close enough to hit him. With all the might the lithe apprentice could muster, he lashed out with his hindleg quickly at the last second. He hoped by timing the attack at the last moment that Blackpaw wouldn't be able to dodge in time.

Talonstar twitched his ears in confusion.
"Shadowclan? A rogue from Shadowclan... In our territory?" he blinked, remembering what Featherfoot said about the rogue.
"I don't know what he has done to be exiled from Shadowclan. Or perhaps he has chosen to leave on his own will, but he is related to Featherfoot so therefore he must've been a fine warrior. I will get a few of the elders to take him into the forest and bury him."

Thunderpaw anticipated Blackpaw's move this time and was able to spring out of the way before his leg was knocked from beneath him. He staggered a bit from the suddenness of his jump and cursed himself under his breath.
"Fox dung!" he spat, "I thought I had you!" he flicked his tail in frustration.

Talonstar looked at Littlecloud thoughtfully. An uneasy feeling spread through him, making his paws prickle.
"Well, I am sorry for you and Featherfoot's loss. What's done is done. He is dead. There will be a time for grieving and a time to move on. But tell me Littlecloud, do you think that this deceased rogue is going to pose some sort of problem for LightningClan?" he sighed and glanced at the entrance to his den. His ears pricked at the sound of Leafstorm's mew calling out for him. He turned to Littlecloud.
"I shall meet you in your den later to discuss this further." he dipped his head respectively to the medicine cat and padded outside.
"Oh! Featherfoot! You're back at camp!" Talonstar exclaimed, noticing the she-cat sitting outside his den. "Do you need me for something? I can get Stone-ears to take over some of your duties of you want to rest." he left Featherfoot with that offer and trotted across the clearing to Leafstorm.
