Peregrineskies glanced back at his apprentice, noticing her mirroring him with a grin. The runt jumped onto the lowest branch on a nearby tree, climbing toward the trunk.
"Now... You have 1 hour to hunt down a mouse. Plenty of time right? Good. Now off you go." He meowed, watching her.
Of course, he would be observing his apprentice as she did this, for evaluation. Or to know what he had to correct.
And to speak with the demon, if it dared.

Peregrineskies watched his apprentice hunt, noticing how she found a trail. The deputy jumped to a different tree every so often, to keep site of her. His gaze flickered to a shadow, where he saw the outline of a red cat. Peregrineskies narrowed his eye, then turning his gaze back to his apprentice. She seemed to be doing pretty well, after a few more "study hunts" they'd move on to birds or squirrels, whichever scent touched his nose first.

Peregrineskies smiled as he watched his apprentice shout in glee. She's taking baby-steps into to becoming a self-supported individual. Which would mean his apprentice wouldn't need Sear.

The runt sometimes felt a "bad air" around some of the cats in his clan. Northpaw, Capricornpaw, Cougarstrike, Cloverleaf, and Sear. This feeling had always been right, and Sear was confirmed.
