[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]Mitzi brushed her peach-toned paw pad gently against the letters etched in the ground, tracing them without disturbing the shape. The blind kitten frowned, put off by the seething anger both the vice-leader and paladin present seemed to be radiating. Shootingblank's rage-filled tone startled her, and she instinctively pricked her fur defensively.
The smell, though. She knew the stench of the captors, though she had never met them in this life. Deja Vu overwhelmed her as she realized the terrible nature her acquaintance had been taken. "We have to get her back. Who knows what they've already done to her..." Her voice trailed off, quivering with fear for Jadesprite. Why did it have to be the sweet yet unstable female, of all the BlizzardClanners?
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]Mitzi blinked her sightless orbs as she stumbled over, curious to meet the new recruit. "Hullo," she greeted, a goofy grin etched on her features. "Welcome to BlizzardClan! I'm Mitzi!" Her greeting was nearly identical to most of the others, and while that did make her a tad upset, she soon forgot about the slight discomfort it caused her and instead began to read her aura quietly.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]Mitzi didn't want to be on BloodClan's bad side - she had enough experience with them when she lived there for over a year, and even more when she was forced to turn against them once she settled into the Noblelands - but even the kitten wouldn't forgive them for the loud sobs that wracked through poor Jadesprite's form. "Do you want me to take away some of the pain?" She queried softly as she lowered herself beside the crumpled wolf pup, a concerned look etched on her maw. It was a handy power, of course, but that would mean putting herself in pain as well.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]Mitzi trotted over in her happy demeanor, though her smile quickly faded when she heard Jade's soft cries and, more importantly, the overwhelming scent of blood. Her jaw dropped, and all she could manage to utter was a soft, "...Again?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]The nature deity padded over, a frown furrowing her brow. Mitzi wasn't quite sure if she approved of going against BloodClan - they were a powerful enemy, and BlizzardClan was very small - but if Penguin Joe approved, then they must be making the best decision to go against one of the strongest clans.
...Right?
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]/ yaass steven universe !! :3
Mitzi approached with a curious expression. This "Cottoncandy" character seemed to be speaking in... third person? The chocolate smoke let out a soft chuckle as she took a seat, trying to figure out what animal he was. The Sight allowed her to read auras and even walk in dreams, but it certainly could never replace true sight. Being blind sucked. And that was an understatement.
"Welcome, Cottoncandy! I'm Mitzi! It's nice to meet ya!" The kitten chirped, her shoulders bouncing up with joy as she greeted the lion.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]Well, Mitzi didn't exactly want to put herself in excruciating pain, but if she could help, she would tough it out.
"Okay... I haven't done this in a while, but it should help a bit with the pain," she meowed softly, a distant look on her visage. Reaching out an alabaster paw, she gently attempted to place it on the wolf's back and focused on absorbing some of the pain, and in turn, the wounds that caused it. Mitzi let out a sharp cry as some of Jadesprite's pain transferred to her own body, but she quickly muffled it and whimpered quietly.
Tears welled up at her eyes, and she quickly squeezed them shut. "D-Does that feel a-any better?" She inquired through gritted teeth. She had left the bigger wounds on Jadesprite - she wasn't selfless - but had taken on most of the more minor cuts and scrapes as well as the pain from the burn, but the burn mark itself remained on the young lupine as well as the gash and concussion.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]Unlike Fadedhistory, Mitzi's blindness had strengthened her senses, especially her sense of smell. A slight frown marked her maw as she padded over, picking up the rusty tang of blood that Enigmatickit had apparently drank. She dipped her head respectfully in both of their directions before taking a seat, her disconcerted look fading and being replaced by a warm grin.
"Hello! I'm Mitzi," she introduced cheerfully. "Did... Did you suck the blood out of that mouse? Eh, to each their own, I guess." Shrugging, the kitten then turned to Fadedhistory and smiled questioningly. Those are some pretty old-fashioned morals, she mused, though she didn't dare voice them - she wasn't rude!
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;line-height:15px;]Skyla did feel a trace of guilt leaving behind the friends she had made in BlizzardClan, but her ties there had no competition with who she believed might be residing here. When Feliks had essentially declared war on the Badlands, the blind feline went to examine the scene where an arson had apparently appeared. Though the scent was faint, it was strangely familiar to her. At that moment, the formerly named Mitzi (she had been seeking a fresh start) reluctantly cast away her new persona and pursued the new enemy. If her suspicions were right, leaving her home would certainly pay off - she was quite sure the arson was her mother, whom she hadn't seen in moons.
The chocolate smoke took a deep breath, familiarizing herself with the dry atmosphere. It was a bit like the BloodClan desert, though not nearly as harsh. It was certainly bearable, even in her thick-furred form.
"Hello?" She called, navigating the terrain solely on her four remaining senses and the help of the Sight. When she passed over the border, she jumped back and took a seat. "I... I'm Skyla! I was hoping to join!"
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]Scarlett's familiar aura nearly overwhelmed the young feline with joy, but all she could manage was a grateful nod. "Yes, I did! I lived in the Noblelands with them for a while, and they're my sister and mother! Actually, you're my sister, if my Sight isn't acting up again," she meowed, trying to keep her cool without nervously rambling.
Of course, her level-headed composure snapped as soon as she read the aura of the vice-leader approaching. Blinking rapidly, the dumbfounded feline grinned and forced herself not to tackle Caroline. "...Mommy?" While it embarrassed her slightly to use such a childlike name when addressing her parent, she knew Caroline would be reassured it was her if she used it. They had shared many bittersweet reunions, and hopefully, this could be added to the list.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]Letting out a soft 'oof' as Caroline wrapped her in a warm embrace, Skyla had to focus on regulating her breathing or risk becoming a blubbering mess. "I missed you," she murmured into the familiar scent of her mother's fur. All doubts about moving to this apparently ruthless clan washed away as she realized that she was now surrounded by her family. Perhaps she would even grow close to Scarlett now that she was once again working in the same clan as her.
All other thoughts occupying her mind began to melt as she enjoyed the hug that she had craved for far too long, simply enjoying the moment.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]As soon as the power block dropped, Skyla grinned, a hint of malice tinging her features. Now, she could fight and stand a chance!
As the blind feline charged into battle, she attempted to morph her petite form into her pastel snowferra form. A low growl rumbled within her as she realized that someone else had turned on their anti-power blocker, stopping her from turning into a more powerful creature along with being unable to see. She completely relied on the Sight! You fucked up this time, Sky, the chocolate smoke mused grimly, planting her claws into the sand.
Hopefully, the Exilers would overlook the small creature, though she highly doubted they would ignore her presence on the battlefield. Maybe she had a fighting chance, if she could learn to navigate by touch, smell, and sound.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]Skyla despised being late - she always made a habit of being punctual, but lately, she had been slacking. Hopefully, she hadn't come too late, and her clanmates would accept her on the patrol. Of course, as Kairi had stated, six was quite a large patrol already. Perhaps her and Kairi could take another border..? That would likely get awkward fast, as neither of them seemed to be that extroverted. She would have to wait for the verdict, she supposed, but she was already getting antsy waiting for one of their replies to Kairi's inquiry, which happened to be identical to Skyla's thoughts.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]While Skyla didn't recognize her - she must have been there after her time in the Noblelands - she was glad to see the Badlands were gaining more members. The more the merrier, she supposed, as long as she didn't have to interact with them too much.
The chocolate smoke smiled warmly at the joiner as she settled by Caroline. "Welcome to the Badlands! I'm Skyla," she introduced with a curt nod.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]Anaxawha-? Skyla thought as she approached, the slightest hint of confusion evident by her furrowed brow. Perhaps, like Sylmae, Skyla would simply refer to her as Ana.
"Er, sorry if I mess up your name a couple times... Regardless, welcome to the Badlands! I'm Skyla Harbringer," the feline introduced, her lips twitching into an awkward smile.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]Was that smell... A beetle? The blind femme creased her brow as she approached, trying to place to voice to an aura. She was shocked when she realized her assumption was indeed correct, and it was the large beetle who had just joined.
"Welcome to the Badlands," Skyla chirped, already past her initial shock that Prius' species had presented her with. "I'm Skyla! It's nice to meet you, Prius." This was quite interesting - she had never met a beetle before, let alone been in a clan with one!
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]Skyla certainly wouldn't want that maniac doing anything that required "surgical precision" on her, that was certain. Something about his tone made her wary of him, and she couldn't help but put a bit of distance between him and her as she took a seat and stared at her paws. She couldn't see her ivory toes, of course, but it was always a habit of hers to stare down. Of course, it was less about low self esteem and more second nature now. That was one of the perks about being reincarnated before retrieving full access to her memories and former persona - her soul had patched itself up a bit and her social anxiety was much less severe.
Still, members like Repo Man reminded her of why she was paranoid about others' intentions in the first place.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]Skyla hated it when others cried - unlike physical injuries, she couldn't take away the emotional pain. "I'll help you look for it, too, if you want," Skyla offered with a smile. She didn't have a plush when she was younger, but rather the scouting legion cloak her mother had gifted her years ago. Even through her many deaths and reincarnations, she had always made a habit of going back to grab it from her previous body. In fact, it was in her hotel room now, thanks to her handy conjuring power. Because of her attachment, she was quite aware how Alice must feel and knew she had to help.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]While Skyla wasn't too competitive, she wouldn't turn down a friendly challenge. Besides, it was a nice escape from the relentless heat!
The chocolate smoke made sure to sheathe her claws before wading towards her float of choice - a bright pink one that was only a bit bigger than her and shaped in a near-perfect circle. Positioning herself carefully, the blind feline waited for everyone to get prepared impatiently.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=;border-width:0px;line-height:15px;text-align:justify;]"Be careful not to overdo it," Skyla warned softly. She was well aware of the danger of having a heat stroke, especially in the middle of summer, but perhaps Alice didn't care? Still, she had treated enough cases of dehydration and heat strokes as a medic in BloodClan all those moons ago, and if Alice knew of the symptoms, perhaps she would be a bit more careful. At least, that's what Skyla hoped. She seemed to be staying hydrated though, so she wasn't about to go scolding the minor on proper workout methods in extreme heat.
