Freya felt a pang of guilt. Had she sounded too defensive? This fox looked to be in the same position as them.

“No worries,” She said in a warmer tone. “We have all only just met as well. What is your name little fox?”

Timber wagged his tail while listening to the others exchange. He was happy to be a part of a group again, even if it was smaller than his original pack. The brute listened curiously to the fox’s description before the mention of warmth. Although his thick coat was prime for cold weather, he hadn’t realized how much he had missed warmth until now. If only he could create fire like the humans did.

Freya was on the same page as her comrade. She let out a yawn, waiting for the two smaller canines to finish before putting in her two cents.

“So then,” She said to the fox. “Maybe you could show us a nice place to find shelter for the night or maybe some prey?”

Freya was grateful for the fox’s help, but she had been hoping for something a bit more filling than mice. Oh well, at least it was better than nothing. Her new aqciaintences seemed to be in their own conversation. Did they not want to go?

“What do you guys think?” She asked everyone else.

Timber’s tail came to an abrupt stop upon realizing that their two new friends weren’t planning on joining them. He was disappointed that him and Freya now had to start back at square one. But oh well, at least the kind fox was willing to show them around.

“That’s fine,” He said to Jay and Minnie. “Maybe our paths will cross again soon!”

Freya’s ears fell back. She felt slightly offended, but more embarassed that she hadn’t picked up on Jay’s subtleties earlier. Clearly he didn’t want them hanging around, and she hadn’t realized inviting themselves to stay had been any kind of a burden.

    “Yeah, maybe.” She said flatly.

The snow colored female turned her attention back to Airic and flashed him a smile.

    “Ready when you are!”

Timber followed suit of the gray fox.

“Don’t worry about it! We are starving. Do you know how many times I came close to eating Freya in her sleep?”

He nudged his friend jokingly, only to receive an unamused stare. Timber cleared his throat and brought his attention to their surroundings. Slowly, more and more trees began to appear. It was actually quite beautiful.

”Seriousy though,” Freya added. “We are so grateful that you are taking time out of your day to help us. If there is anything we can do in return, feel free to ask.”

The scent of prey became evident as soon as they entered the forest. She looked up at the setting sun. Like Airic had mentioned earlier, the nocturnal prey would be coming out soon.

Timber got down into a crouch as soon as he heard tiny footsteps in the snow. He crept around a wide tree and spotted his prey sifting through a pile of dead leaves. Within an instant, the rodent was dead. Lucky for Timber, it was a decent sized squirrel. He immediately began chowing down, having built up an appetite for days. Him and Freya were still not quite used to having to feed themselves.

Freya cast a jealous glance over at Timber. She hoped she would find her next meal soon. The white female wandered deeper into the forest in search of prey when something caught her eye. A bear den! She immediately froze in her tracks and quickly sniffed the air for any fresh scents. Nothing. Perhaps it was abandoned?

“Timber, look what I found!” She barked, momentarily forgetting about the prey. At least now they had somewhere to spend the night.

Timber scarfed down the rest of his meal before running over to Freya.

“Nice find,” He mumbled, mouth full of meat.

The brute swallowed what was in his mouth and crept inside the den. Sure enough, the scent was stale.

“Let’s just hope the bear doesn’t home sick!”

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it,” Freya shrugged.

She turned to face the direction they had left Airic in.

“You’re welcome to spend the night with us here if you’d like! But I totally understand if it’s too sketchy.”

She flashed him a small grin before heading back out into the woods.

“Mark our new territory, will you Timber? I’m going to hopefully find something to eat.”

Timber nodded and placed a few scent markers around the den. When he was finished he sat back at the entrance and scratched behind his ear.

“It sure it quiet out here with no humans around,” He thought out loud.

Freya made her way deeper into the forest. She heard a few birds perch themselves on the branches above her, but there was no way for her to hunt them. She sighed, continuing the search for prey in the vast and seemingly empty woods.

    PLOT

By some series of events, you are currently in the storage unit of a large plane. It’s dark and cramped, and you can smell the scent of a few other dogs in there with you. You’ve lost track of how long it’s been since the humans loaded you onto the plane. You decide to go to sleep to pass the time.

Just as your eyes begin to shut, you hear a loud explosion. The plane nose dives and your cage slides all the way across the floor before crashing against a wall. The other dogs start whining, but it’s barely audible over the sound of blood rushing in your ears. What’s going on?! Within minutes you feel the plane hit land, but you get knocked unconscious upon impact.

When you wake up, your cage is broken and you have no idea how you are still alive. As you come to, you begin realize you are in an entirely different world. The air is hot and humid and the trees all look different. The pungent smell of ocean air fills your nostrils. What is this place? You try to stand up and find any other signs of life.

Unbeknownst to you, the pacific island you have landed on is home to a tribe of canines. However you will soon realize that these canines are anything but ordinary.

    RP THREAD

    ~Tribe of Endless Waters~

((Woah forgot about this rp haha let’s see what I can post))

Birchtail heard a few twigs snap, followed by the scent of blood. The fur on his neck stood up, making him look even bulkier than usual. The tom followed the scent without looking back at the others. The thorn bush that the kit had fallen into was only a mere few feet away.

“You there,” He meowed to the bush. “Show yourself.”

The maine coon squinted his eyes as he tried to spot the kit, but Shadowkit’s black pelt made him hard to find within the foliage.

“Okay, cool!” Marblefur sighed in relief.

She padded over to a clearing where no other warriors were present.

“So how shall we go about doing this? Should we demonstrate for them first or just let them go right at it?”

((Oh so Jay will turn down Timber and Freya, but he will accept Jules? I see how it is xD))

Timber waited until Freya had returned from her brief hunting trip to go to sleep. The two cuddled close together to keep warm. When morning came, the sound of birds chirping in the trees filled the otherwise quiet forest. Timber had turned onto his back at some point and was snoring loudy.

Freya awoke and looked over at Timber in annoyance.

    “Wake up,” She barked.

A grin spread across her maw when Timber suddenly lifted his head with a surprised look on his face. She stood up and shook some snow off of her pelt before walking to the den’s entrance.

“Guess it’s another day on our own then...”

((It’s okay ^_^ I lost track of where Silver and Foxy were but let’s just say Timber and Freya are heading in their direction))

Timber let out a wide yawn as he walked alongside Freya. He still hadn’t quite woken up just yet. The brute looked left and right, but only saw more trees.

“I’m bored,” He sighed. “No offense, but traveling with just you gets old kind of quick.”

“How am I not supposed to take offense to that?” Freya scoffed. “Maybe if you weren’t so antsy all the time you wouldn’t be bored.”

She stuck her nose up in the air and quickened the pace. After doing so, she could’ve sworn she caught the faint scent of two females. Or was her nose playing tricks on her?

Timber matched his pace with Freya’s once more, rolling his eyes at her petty remark. The two often bickered like siblings, though they weren’t from the same litter. He had spent many years of puphood with her training to become a sled dog, so he knew how to handle her sassy attitude.

Freya spotted a trail of blood up ahead followed by the scent of deer. Her tail wagged in excitement. Perhaps there was an injured doe nearby. Humans were notorious for shooting them, but not well enough to kill them. Such careless creatures... Freya exchanged a glance with Timber before running in the direction of the smell.

Snowstar made it to the middle of the island and waited for his followers. He wasn’t originally expecting them to come and watch, but could tell they were interested. He sat in front of a large stone that seemed to give off a strange glow.

“I will be just a moment,” He said. “I advise you to leave my body untouched unless there is apparent danger.”

The white tom gave them both a nod before turning to face the stone. He lay down and touched his nose to it, immediately falling into a deep sleep. His soul was one with Starclan for the moment.

Cobalt awoke to the sound of waves crashing upon the shore. His crystal blue eyes fluttered open, squinting against the harsh sunlight. It took a moment for his vision to adjust. He was surprisingly still in his crate, but it had been busted open. The canine tried to get to his feet and climb out. Every movement he made caused great pain, but he eventually made it out. His breathing quickened as he began to panic. This definitely was not supposed to happen. Where were all the humans? Was he the only survivor? Cobalt’s head looked left and right for any other signs of life on the beach.

    “Hello?” He called out.

((Omg I love her already xD))

Cobalt was surprised to hear another voice. He didn’t spot her right away, but sure enough there was a pomeranian a few feet from him. His ears fell back as she immediately berated him with snide remarks.

“No actually, I can’t really remember anything.” He said in response to her second question. “In case you couldn’t already tell, I was unconscious up until now.”

The brute sat down onto the sand after standing for far too long. His body felt like it was burried beneath a ton of bricks. The soreness he felt only distracted him for a mere moment before the pomeranian spoke again, this time blatantly insulting him. Was she always like this, or was she just in a bad mood because of the traumatic experience they just had?

“My name is Cobalt,” He said flatly, then added with a grin, “Do I call you frizzy little rat?”
