Karmakit had finished suckling and was trying to find her way around. She couldn't hear or see, but she sure could feel! She slowly crawled away, but then bumped into something. She gave out a wail of pain and annoyance. That hurt! The thing she had bumped into was furry and felt a bit like her mother. But it sure didn't smell like her mother. She gave out another wail, this time ending with a bit of tiredness. She just wanted to go next to her mother and sleep.

Scavenger relaxed when he heard her reply. Then he smiled. He purred and stood up. The sun shone down, but it was weak as it was covered by some clouds. He could faintly see the mountains making faint black shapes behind him, but they were hidden by a large cloud bank. He knew fog was rolling in, he could smell it. He wanted to get to a safe place soon. Predators liked the cover of fog.

"So when? When do you want to have kits?"

He asked. He flicked his tail a bit nervously, but then cooled down. He supposed nothing bad could come of that question. Could it?

Karmakit squealed softly when she felt something pick her up, but relaxed when she felt her mother next to her. She snuggled closer, enjoying the warmth. She could smell the milk, but she wasn't hungry. All she wanted to do was sleep. She felt a wave of tiredness hit hit. She softly squeaked a bit and put one paw over her nose. Then she fell asleep, softly snoring.
