She hardly noticed the ambulance stopping.

Darrel was working in the stable. He was exercising a horse in-hand.

She moaned.

She stayed quiet as the paramedics rolled her out.

"Mornin' Princess." Darrel said, smiling and stoping the horse. "This is General." he said, stroking the liver chestnut stallion.

She didn't acknowledge her surroundings.

Her breathing labored again. She panted.

"Yes sir, one second sir." Darrel said, going back into the barn. He put General in his stall and brought the prince's horse.

"I don't mind, I'm just sorry that you have to deal with him." Darrel said, looking at the annoying prince. "Really I am." He was holding he reins of a different horse now.

He nodded and smiled.He mounted the horse and went for a ride over to the blacksmith, where he was working. He picked up his apron and got to work.
