Kazuma nodded. "Interesting. Why French?" he asked curiously.

Hitomi suddenly sped up her pace, having spotted through a group of trees the flash of a long vehicle turning the corner. "Hitomi means pupil of the eye, actually," she said to Devon, her jog obviously not interrupting their conversation. "Whether that literally means an eye's pupil or that I'm pleasing to the eye is a matter of opinion."

Kazuma chuckled. "That's a good reason, then. I'm taking German, but I can't imagine having to actually use it anytime soon."

"For the credits," Kazuma admitted with a shrug. "Universities like to see them, and I really do like Germany, so I figured I might as well take the class."

Harumi nodded, forcing her muscles to relax a bit since they wouldn't be fighting. "Hopefully that doesn't happen, then," she stated. "By the way, and I hope you don't mind me asking this, but why aren't you with the other talents? I know most of them have a group going, so I was a bit surprised to see you alone."

"Hi, Nikki," Hitomi greeted, managing to sound cheery even though she wasn't particularly fond of how the other girl had ignored her presence. Not that Hitomi was always the most polite person herself, but she still fell at least a bit offended. The bus was getting closer now, and came to a halt at the stop sign just before the bus stop.

Kazuma took another bite of his pizza with a bob of his head. "So does this cousin of yours live in France?"

Takeshi looked at Camille with a questioning gaze. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Hunters?" Takeshi's eyes were wide with alarm as he quietly walked over to Camille and pressed his ear against the wall.

Harumi glanced over at her. "Your brother's a hunter?" she asked curiously. Now that must be an interesting story to hear.

Takeshi took a step away from the door and nodded. He glanced around in search of another exit, but didn't find anything in plain sight.

Trent was on his way to his dorm, having given up on his reading, when he spotted Sieghart and Haru from around the corner. He considered leaving them be until Hanu showed that she obviously didn't want to be bothered, which made him reluctantly step into view. His stupid heart wouldn't let him just leave her there to be abused, while his brain was telling him to turn around. Of course, the former eventually one. "Is something wrong?" he asked, folding his arms over his chest and glaring at Sieghart.

Harumi frowned, looking back down at the ground so she wouldn't trip over any branches. "I'm sorry to hear that. I'm guessing you've seen him since then?"

"There's this little cafe downtown that's part of a bookstore. I swear, they have the best sandwiches and pie," Hitomi said, glancing back at where they had left Nikki as the bus came to a stop a few yards away. She dug some change out of her pocket and handed it to the driver when she climbed up the stairs.

"That's cool," Kazuma commented before finishing off his pizza, as well as his bag of chips.

Kazuma stood up and threw away his trash, then went back to the table. "Do you want to go to the park or something?" he asked Alia.

Hitomi smiled and sat down next to him, ears moving as she took in the conversations of the very few other people in the vehicle. Finally, she turned to Devon. "I'm really sorry, but I'm super curious: Do you like Nikki? I mean like, have a crush on her?"

Hitomi's face flushed, now embarrassed herself for asking such a stupid question. "Sorry, it's just that, well, it's kinda obvious that she likes you and I was just wondering..."

Hitomi nodded and looked down at her hands, which were folded on her lap. After a long awkward silence, she finally looked up and glanced out the window before pulling on the cord that signaled the bus driver to stop.

Karuma flashed a bright smile. "Cool." He gathered up his books and waited for Alia before starting for the door.

ooc: I'm thinking of making a new character now too... Any suggestions?

Kazuma led her the the small park that sat behind the main school building. It had multiple trees, benches, and a couple of play sets and rows of swings.

ooc: Back from my cabin, sorry for being a bit inactive.

Hitomi nodded. "Yeah, it's right around the corner." She led Devon down the sidewalk until she came to a stop in front of a little two-story shop squeezed between the other buildings.

Kazuma set down his books on the grass and sat down on one of the swings.

Harumi was on her way to go get some food when she saw Sieghart and Hanu. She curiously made her way over to the other girl, watching Sieghart out of the corner of her eye. "What's wrong with him?"

"So that means you should let him suffer and possibly die?" Harumi questioned.
