[font=franklin gothic book]ooc: Cool, what do you play?

Jordan chuckled at LeAnne before turning to Maria and nodding along with the others.

Riley bobbed her head and stood up, crossing the room to grab her notebook from her guitar case. "I like it," she said with a smile as she settled back down with her legs in a pretzel shape, her notebook sitting across her lap.

Riley let out a quiet sigh as she paged through the poems she had written, some as old as the year of 7th grade when she began writing. Some had music she had written to go with it, but because of her lack of skill with the piano and only minor knowledge of guitar, none of it was exceptional. She glanced around and noticed the a couple of the others looking through notebooks as well, but her gaze kept on LeAnne after. She played piano... Maybe she'd be able to help, Riley thought as she stood up and went over to her. "Whatcha got there?" she asked.

Riley glanced down at her own book, then began flipping through it until she came to one of her poems, a favorite of hers that was about a man living in a post-apocalyptic world. Only she could truly tell, though, since the words were morphed to a degree that dozens of meanings could come from them. It was in the eye of the beholder, really. There was no right or wrong, but only a matter of opinion. She tossed the open notes to LeAnne. "Could you make anything out of this and one of your songs then? I mean, we'll be needing some original stuff to play, so might as well try to make the best out of what we have."

Riley watched as LeAnne read her poem, and curiously glanced over to get a quick glance at the song she had opened to just before the pianist rose and went over to her keyboard. She loved the sound, a haunting melody with a hook that had you aching to hear more. It fit perfectly. Without grabbing her notebook, Riley began quietly singing the poem's lyrics until she found fitting notes, in which she sang a bit louder so the others could hear. Obviously her voice wasn't as good as Maria's and didn't have nearly as much range, but she was still far from tone deaf as her words flowed with the sound of the piano.

Riley ended a beat off, unaware of when the music was to stop. Despite the error, she still grinned as she closed her notebook. "We'll have to work on them, of course, but I think we might already have a song. I could rewrite, it, too, to make it a duet or something." She glanced over at Jordan and Maria.

Jordan nodded. "I like it," he said, nodding. "It's a bit dark, and we won't want a lot of our songs to be like that, but this one'll be good after some tweaking."

Hitomi lead him to the girl's dormitory, making sure to peek around the corners before turning into halls to make sure no teachers were lurking about. Even though boys were still allowed at that time of day, it was often frowned upon by the majority of the older folk. "Quick question," she asked, glancing back at Devon as they neared her room. "Are you a fan of Disney Pixar movies?"

Hitomi produced a key from the pocket of her skirt, and she quickly opened the door to her room and gestured for Devon to go in. She walked in after him and flicked on the lights. "Have you seen Brave yet then?" she asked him with a smile.

Kazuma sat in the library on one of the wooden chairs, a hardcover novel laying on the table in front of him. He ran a hand through his soft blonde hair as he read, blue eyes bright with interest at the text.

"You're f**king kidding me!" Ren yelled. "You got me a f**king babysitter?" he screamed at his mother. She looked at him seriously. "Ren, you know you have your... problem... and we just want to make sure you're safe while we're gone." Ren groaned. "So now you're just calling it a problem?! Well I'm sorry that I want to die sometimes!" His mom glared at him. "Mr., now you're for sure going to have someone watching you if you keep talking like that. I just want you to be safe and happy. The least you can do is just do this one thing to make me happy. Just try."

Ren's mom looked at the door, and with a startled gasp, realized that Indy was already there. "Now, I expect you to be completely behave and not try anything," she toold Ren strictly before opening the door and greeting Indy with a forced smile, hoping that the girl hadn't heard any of the loud argument.

Ren's mother nodded with a smile. "I'm not sure how long I'll be gone, so I'll probably call the home phone later. I have emergency numbers and some money sitting on the counter," she told Indy before leaving.

Ren sat on the couch, looking over at Indy curiously. "How much is she paying you?" he growled.
