The boy clutched his bag, his only personal item left besides the clothes he wore. He sat down and looked in the contents if the bag. A cantine of water, almost empty. A box of matches. A photo, of a girl he didn't recognize. He felt he should know her, but he couldn't remember, not after...what happened. The lab, the scientists...he shuddered remembering those things. He stuffed everything in his bag, shouldering it and walking along

Jace walked out of the town store, carrying a basket of bread and eggs, which was all she could afford. She sighed and walked down the roads, passing her friends. She waved and smiled. Jace saw a boy up ahead who she'd never seen before. With her natural friendly nature, she walked up to him. "Hi, what's your name?"
-
"I'm Jace." She held out her hand in greeting. "I've lived here for sixteen years, I've never seen you around here. Are you new?"
-
Jace Johnston, Douglas's daughter, opened the door. "Hello?" She peeked at him, her dark wavy hair hanging in her face. Her blue eyes dazzled. She frowned, not recognizing the boy. She felt something strange, like her adrenaline was beating too fast. She shook herself and stared at the boy. "Is there something you need?"
-
Jace nodded, mesmerized by the boy's handsome features. "Um, wait one minute.." She turned into the house. "Dad! Someone's here to see you!" She called. A man came down the stairs. He wore a business suit and a tie, his thick hair finely combed. "Ah, another client, I see." He smiled and walked out the door.
-
Ooc ok
Jace smiled. "Well, nice meeting you." She brushed her bangs from her face and started walking away
-
Jace watched him go, her chest pounding. She felt a weird sensation, being around him. He sighed and walked inside her tiny house
-
Jace put down the groceries and walked back out to town square.
-
Jace saw the boy walk out of his house again and she smiled and waved
-
Jace beamed and walked around
-
Jace sat down at the fountain. She heArd a scream from Mrs. Baxter, the town baker. A man on horseback was grabbing her, leaning toward her neck. Jace saw sharp white fangs instead of human teeth. "No!" She ran over and threw a brick at the man, giving Mrs. Baxter a chance to escape. The man glared at her, blood spouting from where the brick hit him. That bow should've knocked him out, but it just seemed to make him angry
-
Jace stood, dumbfounded. "Nate! That was amazing!"
