Shard noticed that the cats below were scattering, as though making a path for someone. He squinted closer and noticed a black she-cat with long fur walking below. Shard tilted his head as she climbed a tree and glared below. He almost felt sorry, but he shook the thought from his mind. He tried to focus away from her piercing glare.

Shard bit his lip. He almost wanted to be afraid. Something about this cat scared him. The burning eyes, the depressed feeling that lingered in the air. I am Shard, he thought to himself. I cannot be afraid. He summoned all of his courage and lifted his chin, staring straight back: curious, but defiant.

    (sorry I was inactive :( )

Shard saw his sister, Sparkwhisper, looking around for him on the ground. He shook his head and began to climb downward. "Hey," he hissed in her ear. She turned around in surprise, and then shouldered him playfully. "Seriously?" she groaned, rolling her eyes. Shard shrugged. Sparkwhisper motioned to the clearing. "You should meet some of these cats, you know," she said with a wink. "Shut up," grunted Shard. But he stalked towards the other cats anyway.

Shard felt a pair of eyes watching him. He thought of Brokendreams, that she-cat with the burning glare, and wondered if it was her. Shard ignored it kept walking, pretending that he knew where he was going. But he could not shake the feeling that someone was still watching him.

Shard closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He turned around to face whoever was watching him. "What do you want?" he asked, trying to sound mild but strong. But this was not Brokendreams; this was someone different. A she-cat, and she was... Shard only bit his tongue and stood a little taller.

    (can I join?)

Sparkwhisper was hunting in the forest with her brother when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. Bright red... blood. She moved closer. "Great StarClan", she murmured. Dustflight, her brother, tilted his head sadly. "Wing could help," he suggested. "And so could we," declared Sparkwhisper. Before he could say another word, she ran to the cats.

"We'll try", said Sparkwhisper. Her brother took a deep breath and stared straight ahead, in a trance. His whiskers twitched. "Wing," he muttered. "Wing". It looked strange, everyone thought so, but Sparkwhisper knew that Dustflight had always been able to see things she hadn't.

Dustflight saw Wing appear in front of him. Her StarClan pelt shimmered, and her eyes glowed. Just like she had been...
Dustflight motioned to Angelwings. "She needs help." Wing shook her head as her paws became encased in... Dustflight snapped out of the trance. "Horsetail, Marigold, Cobwebs," he announced.
Sparkwhisper charged off into the forest to find the herbs.

Sparkwhisper skidded back to the cats, the herbs in her mouth. She was out of breath from running for so long. She placed the plants on the ground. "Oh, my Starclan, there was fox scent everywhere," she gasped. Dustflight shushed her and began to make poultices for Angelwings' wounds. "Might sting", he said. "But it'll slow the bleeding." He pressed the herbs into her fur and patched them with cobwebs. He tilted his head at her sympathetically. "i'm sorry. About what happened."

Dustflight sniffed the air and caught the scent of Twolegs and a dog. He peered out from his den, alarmed, and saw a small puppy outside. His instincts told him to get it out, fast, but it looked helpless and weak, so he relaxed slightly. "Where was it?" he asked.
