A black snake, with bright yellow bands across her scales, was lying quietly in a young oak tree. The female Temple Viper had recently escaped from a careless human who had, incompetently, placed her (of all places!) in their purse. Such stupidity. She thought in disgust, chestnut-brown irises wandering out of boredom.
-
A small yellow anaconda was dangling a branch above the viper, her black eyes watching warily. She certainly wasn't native here; rather, she had accually been released by her former caretakers.

The yellow anaconda was still young, and dare say... stupid? "I dunno if you should stay here; those cats sure don't like snakes."
-
The temple viper, caught by surprise, let loose a terrified hiss as she glared up at the bright-eyed constrictor. "Don't sneak up on others like that!" She snapped, chestnut-brown eyes narrowing. "And why would I care about a bunch of felines?"
-
The young anaconda thought for a moment, as if she wasn't sure why she thought that way either. "Well-" She began, but accidentally let go of her perch and fell into the gathering below. -
Tigerheart padded to the snakes. She had a snake once but the lions killed her. "Hello I'm Tigerheart."The yellow anaconda, Jun, was completely unfazed from her fall, and glanced up at Tigerheart with bright, curious black eyes. "He-llo." She hissed in broken cat language.
-
Chess, the temple viper, glared down at them from her perch in a young oak. "Greetings." She hissed; this was much better cat language, since she had grown up around a fat orange tabby. -
[font=georgia]Gracie, the olive python, was curled around a clutch of eighteen eggs. She had been incubating them for a total of fourty-seven days, and had only left to get a drink from a puddle, or to absorb some sun-rays. But now, at night, she was extra alert, hazelish eyes wary.
{This is what Gracie looks like:}

[font=georgia]Seis, a rosy boa, was curled up closer to the cats. A small kitten, a dark brown tabby she-kit with eye-less sockets, was sleeping on top of the reptile, as if it was his mother... though Seis was quite young.

Sobu, the baby elephant, plodded into the gathering, her small black eyes blinking slowly. "Lookie, bunches and bunches of lil' cats!" She squealed. Ven, her cousin and a year older, followed slowly. "Uh-huh." He replied, but looked rather bored with Sobu's discovery.❤ ❤

The olive python, Gracie, was curled around her eighteen eggs. She hadn't moved from her spot exept to quench her thirst, or to bask in the sunlight. Now, however, she was starving; the reptile had waited fourty-eight days now, while the adverage incubation period was fifty.
-
Bree, an escaped black mamba, was gliding out of sight, but near the cats. She was one of the most venomous land snakes, and knew it; that gave her the confidence she needed to face prey such as a group of cats. Killing one would be easy. -

Tigerheart spotted the snake and her eggs got some water and gave it to Gracie.Gracie looked up questioningly at Tigerheart, then at the offering of water. "Thank you." The olive python hissed in cat language, reaching over to take a long drink. She had two days until the expected hatching of her eggs; possibly even one day left, and couldn't wait till she could abandon her duties as a mother.
-
Bree came up behind a young apprentice, Seapaw. He certainly didn't notice the black mamba; until she struck. Then the tom gave a blood-curdling cry, but was dragged into the shadows by a hungry Bree. -
"Your welcome. Do you need anything else?" Tigerheart asked.OOC: Cool! c: Snakes are the best!
--
IC:
"Not at the moment." The olive python responded, curling back around her eighteen eggs. She was glad there was a good cat here to help her; as a first time mother, she found the incubating duty a dull and cumbersome task.
-
Bree tried to smother the apprentice's cries by driving him towards the ground; the black mamba's venom was kicking in, and Seapaw was slowly giving in. -
Bree, the black mamba, had successfully killed the apprentice, Seapaw. She clamped her dark fangs around the young feline's head, unhinging her jaw to better swallow her downed prey.
-
Jun, a very young yellow anaconda, was dangling upside-down from a tree. She watched the cats below with bright, curious black eyes. She had never hunted a cat; they looked much too big, and the queens were always protecting the kits.
-
Gracie, as she incubated her eighteen eggs, thought about the last meal she had had. A young kittypet... Sneezy? It was hard to remember the names of your prey, but she was sure the name began with an L. -
Lilly sniffed the air catching a scent of Snake. "SNAKE" she yowled her eyes widen.Goldendapple eyes widen, and wrapped her tail around her kits.
The process was a slow one, and as Bree heard Lilly make the warning call, she was feeling a bit twitchy. Darn it! Why now? She thought, as she quickly swallowed the apprentice, Seapaw.
-
Jun flinched, and curled up around the tree branch, a defensive measure. She knew the cats noticed a snake; the only question was: who?!
-
Grace gave a soft hiss, wrapping her muscular body around her eighteen eggs. -
Lilly looked around "SNAKE" she called again more louder were every one can hear. She dashed bumping into a warrior (could be any warrior)Goldendappled's fur ruffled. She saw Lilly, she looked about 5 moons old. "SOMEONE PROTECT THE KIT" she growled looking at Lilly.
Bree didn't imidiatly notice the rowdy gathering; she was still trying to digest the cat, which would take a while! Don't see me... don't see me... The black mamba thought internally, sluggishly slithering further into the shadows.
-
Jun watched the cats from the safety of her perch in the tree; "Oh no." She said out loud, wondering how Lilly had noticed when the forest cats hadn't. -
Jun saw Sunstar, and hissed back in broken strands of cat language: "He-llo." She still had a lot to learn from the felines.

Gracie, the olive python, jerked her head in surprise as one of her eighteen eggs twitched. The pale greenish reptile stared for a moment, until she saw the movement again. They're hatching? Now? She thought, a bit startled.
-
Bree, the black mamba, was lying lazily under a few fallen leaves. The big bulge in her belly was a young apprentice, Seapaw, she had devoured.
-
Jun, the very young yellow anaconda, was hanging down from a tree branch, watching the cats with curious black eyes. -

[align=center][font=georgia]Gracie began to uncurl her muscular body, slithering away from her eggs as they began to hatch. The first, a chocolate brown olive python, squirmed around for a moment. Two more pale green hatchlings writhed around, their tails tangled together in their haste for freedom.
{Anyone wanna RP one of Gracie's children? They'll look like this, though it depends on the coloring:} -
OOC:I'll take one of Gracie's hatchlings!I have no snakes yet.Fern yawned.
{Awesome! If you want, I can send you a link that tells a little more about olive pythons! c: }
--
Gracie wasn't sure what to do now; pythons did sometimes stick around to defend their hatchlings, but it wasn't a common thing to do.
-
Bree, the black mamba, watched the pythons hatching with a bit of interest.
