Nora finally started waking up. She rose to a sitting position, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. She glanced around the room aimlessly, until she spotted Iris at her desk.
Half-asleep Nora squealed, falling off the bed with a thump.
"Ow."

-
"Oh my god," Nora groaned, burying her red face in her hands. "I'm sorry, I forgot to set my alarm last night."
The brunette finally remembered that she was only wearing an oversized sweater. The one night I choose not to wear shorts.
"Um, could you please do me a favour and not look this way?" Nora nervously asked the boy, as she searched for some bloody pants.
-
"Oh no, are you okay?" Nora forgot about her search for pants momentarily and rushed over to his side.
"Do you need help up?" The brunette went to reach for his arms, but stopped, just in case he didn't want her help.
-
A small squeal escaped her lips as a blush exploded across her cheeks. She rushed over to her drawers, pulling on a pair of tracksuit pants as quickly as she could, almost tripping in the process.
Nora let a massive sigh before she starting banging her head against the wall, "I hate myself. I'm so sorry."
-
Nora was slightly startled by his question, "Um, well, I've just embarrassed myself in front of you, for what feels the thousandth time this week, so there's that."
The blue-eyed girl started to fiddle with her sweater as she turned around to face him.
-
"Um, Nora," the brunette blushed as she started to get lost in his eyes.
"I guess, we should get back to the project then?" Nora finally pulled her gaze away, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear timidly.
-
"Hey Iris, what do you think of-" Nora trailed off as she turned around to see the boy in question asleep on the floor.
She moved away from the desk and lowered herself to the ground. She was planning to wake him up, but got distracted by his face.
He's so...attractive, Nora couldn't help but think as she stared at his face.
-
Nora's eyes drifted down his torso. Just as she pulled her eyes away and mentally scolded herself for being a pervert she took a double-take. He has bruises? Maybe they're from a fight he got into?
Everybody at school knew about Iris' violent streak, so she supposed she shouldn't be surprised. She couldn't help but frown though. He was so nice to her, it didn't seem fair that he get hurt like this. Then again, what would the other guy look like?
Nora's eyes settled on his abdomen again, and she squinted. He had scars too. Why would he have scars from normal fist fights?
-
Nora jumped slightly at the sound of his voice. She brought her guilty gaze to his eyes, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been looking."
She couldn't help the concern that seeped into her eyes, though. What sort of life does he have outside school that would cause him to have stab wounds everywhere?
"I know this sounds insensitive, but if it's any consolation, they look kinda cool," Nora muttered, not quite willing to say it too loudly. It was terrible that he had to go through the pain that those scars undoubtedly would have come with.
But Nora had always thought scars were pretty hot. Not that she'd ever tell anyone that.
-
"Yeah, of course," Nora answered quietly. She opened her mouth to say something else, but stopped herself. She was going to tell him she could finish his share while he slept. But she enjoyed having him over, and the sooner they finished the project, the sooner hes stop coming over. She didn't realise how much she'd like his company.
-
"Emily, he's trying to sleep, get out!" Nora hissed under her breath, pushing her sister until she was out in the hallway. The brunette closed the door as quietly as she could.
Nora let her eyes roll over his scars once more before she sat down at her desk to get more work done.
-
Nora held a plate of spaghetti bolognese in her hand as she slowly opened the door and peeked through, "Oh, you're awake."
"Um, I figured you'd be hungry, so I thought I'd bring you some dinner?" The brunette used her free hand to rub the back of her neck sheepishly.
-
Nora steeled herself, calling out to him just before he managed to open the door, "Iris?"
"It was really nice...having you here," Nora bit her lip nervously. She wasn't sure why she said it, but she knew she wanted him to hear it.
-
Nora's eyes began to flutter open, but upon seeing someone at her desk, a repeat of the previous morning occurred.
"Ow," the brunette groaned, rubbing her butt as she lifted herself up from the ground. "You have to stop doing this to me-" Nora stopped as her eyes landed on his reflection.
"Iris..."
-
Nora frowned but looked away anyway, "Yeah you're right, you're fine." That was the first time Iris had witnessed the sarcasm that Nora uses when she's in a bad mood.
She grabbed the things she needed from her desk and set herself down on the floor without a word.
She knew she shouldn't be mad at him, especially since he'd obviously been beaten up, but she was sick of him switching back to his cold side with her.
-
Nora nodded at him, humming an affirmation as she was still too upset with him to wanna talk. Even if she was still cranky with him, it was quite evident from the phone call the night before that he probably didn't have the best home situation. She wasn't going to make him go back to that just cause she was a little mad.
