    -this is advanced, so you know what that means. at least a paragraph or two.
    -no drama loves, and this thread is going to be pg-thirteen and maybe drift on the mature side (remember to star out and fade out though)
    -tracks for limited positions will last 72 hours.
    IC:
    -training for the race will be every morning at eight.
    -explore the city all you'd like, but be back to the camp at eleven.
    -take care of your horses and they'll take care of you.
    -take care of your teammates, and they'll take care of you.
    -your first day there will be an orientation.
    -be careful going on trails by yourself, it's advised to take a partner with you.
    -leaders and co-leaders will come up with game plans. leaders will of course lead the pack during the race, while co-leaders will drive from the back with the medic.
    -before each race your team will be announced, one member/horse at a time. show off your stuff!
    -races are 25 miles long each, and will be in the following terrains: woods, desert, beach, and snow.

    each trek is 25 miles, and there will be points where a live audience will be watching from the stands. there will also be points where you are in the utter wilderness. you will be judged on time of completion... you may trot, walk, canter, or even gallop the course depending on what your leaders decide. there will be jumps, ditches, and water to swim through. after each section of the race you may stay in that area for two days, then you'll be traveling to continue on into the race. you may explore during that time. some will make it, others won't. it's a true test of companionship, trust, and grit. can you do it?

    how is this?
    character a (presumably, your character!) is the daughter of a great captain and heiress to the White Roses' sea throne. they rule their part of the sea through diplomatic relations, strategic trade deals, and expert peacemaking skills. they're rich with the fruits of unity. character b is the son of a nonetheless great captain as well, and the heir to the Black Magnolia's sea throne. unlike the White Roses, they rule the sea with an iron fist. blood, fear, manipulation, you name it. they're rich because they cheated their way to fame and will take whatever they can get. naturally, these two sea syndicates loathe each other. they're programed to.
    character a & character b are both sent on sea 'missions' to prove they are worthy of the title 'Captain' when their fathers pass. little do they know, they've been sent to sail to the same island. and although they've been sent to the same island, their purposes are different: one must overtake the island by successfully proposing an alliance, and the other must overtake the island through looting and raiding. bet you can guess who is who.
    well anyway, they run into each other and during their confrontation, realize just how deep their differences run and why they innately hate each other so much. but, as cliche as it sounds, they are just as curious as they are resentful. they just can't seem to stop running into each other. since character a has a gift with words, she is able to break down character b's walls and peer at what is inside. it's not pretty. years of drugs, sex, and broken morals have molded character b into a f**king demon. he is a monster, and you can tell that just by the wicked stare in his eyes.
    but she wants to fix him. can she? will the mounting tensions of their syndicates lead them to destroy each other? they're playing cards with the devil, will they come out the same?
