Dylan smiled and went to the cash register, buying a bag full of fruits and vegetables, thinking about how pretty Rosina was.

"So uh, I need to go study. See you at the party." Jake told his girlfriend.

Dylan checked his watch. It's pretty late... he told himself, then payed quickly and turned to leave.

"I'm May..." the young fae told the strange boy, then took his hand and stood up. "Why did you want to know? I'm not that interesting..." she told him.

Dylan walked a few 20 yards behind Shasta, not noticing her. He looked behind him, and his eyes widened. He quickened his pace, until he was running. Dylan crashed into Shasta, tumbling over and falling onto the cobblestone.

Dylan ran out the double doors, then hopped on his bicycle and rode home.

Riley opened his mouth, showing sharp fangs on the sides of his mouth. "Do you believe me now?" he asked, smiling.

"Of course not!" May exclaimed as she brushed herself off. "And why do you have a vile?" she asked suspiciously.

Once at the house, Dylan dumped the vegetables on the counter in the kitchen, and ignored his drunk mother's calls for him to go get the groceries.

May just stood there. "It's a joke, isn't it?" she glared at the boy, then snatched the vile.

Jake left, driving home in his minivan.

Dylan flopped down on the couch, watching TV, bored. There were no interesting channels, so he turned it off and read a book. Soon, he finished it, then he threw it somewhere.

"Dylan! Go get the groceries for Mama!" his still-drunk mother called from the kitchen.

"No, mother! I already got them for you!" Dylan yelled back.

"How about I don't kiss you and you tell me how to get home?" May replied hastily, knowing he wouldn't accept.

Jake did his science report, then plopped on the couch and read a book, then suddenly remembered he needed a tuxedo for the party. He got his blue tuxedo out and put it on his bed, not wanting to mess it up.

"Augh...Fine. I'll give you the stupid kiss," May muttered, then gave the boy a quick kiss on the cheek.

Dylan muttered under his breath as his mom cursed loudly at him, then he couldn't take it anymore. He went outside and slammed the door. He sat on the front steps, wishing his mom wouldn't be drinking anymore. Ever since Dylan lost his father to a tragic accident, his mum has been drinking too much.

May was shocked, but she quickly recovered. "Alright...So explain."

Jake checked his watch. It was about half an hour until the party at the club started. He put on the tux, grabbed a corsage, then straightened his long tie. He tucked the corsage in his tux pocket, and finally, he was ready. "Mother, I'm leaving for the party!" Jake called downstairs to his mum. She called back, saying okay, and he set out.

"My biggest wish? You have got to be kidding me...To live and hunt with wolves," she told Dain simply. "It's pretty lame, but I love wolves."

Jake drove his car to the party, then parked and got out. He went to the large group of people, then found Linsey. He quickly walked over to her. "Hey Linsey." He got the corsage from the tux pocket and handed it to Linsey.
