IC: Vinepaw followed behind Applebreeze, still dazed from the sudden exposure of sunlight. He settled in the clearing, wiping sleep from his eyes with a forepaw. Cherrypaw joined her brother, tucking into a shrew. She beckoned for both the warriors to join them
Moonstar returned the greeting, picking a small rabbit from the pile and heading to where the apprentices sat. She wasn't going on a border patrol on an empty stomach!

Cherrypaw didn't show much affection to her brother, keeping her distance whilst she ate quietly. When she saw her leader approach she bowed her head, as did Vinepaw. Moonstar smiled, sitting with the group "So are both the apprentices coming along with us?" she asked both the warriors, clawing at the dead rabbit that lay by her feet. Vinepaw abruptly stopped washing, poking his head up from around his outstretched leg. He looked at Sandtalon pleadingly. Cherrypaw on the other hand gave her mentor a threatening stare, as if she would claw out his windpipe if he dared refuse
