She smiled in return.

Bravepelt slowly drifted off to sleep.
-
Birchstorm purred and licked her head.
-
"Mommy, what are you doing?" Couragekit asked quietly, stepping out of the shadows.
-
Couragekit shrunk back in fear. "I...I can't fall asleep. I miss Oakkit." She answered, her bottom lip quivering.
-
She squeaked and playfully cuffed his ear.
-
She laughed and tackled him.
-
She slowly padded over to Luna and sat beside her. "Mommy, is Oakkit gone forever? Or will I see him again someday?" she asked quietly, looking at her brother's grave.
-
Patch smiled at Misty and gently nuzzled her leg. "Thank you." he whispered, his eyes shutting.
-
Couragekit looked up at her mom. "I wish Oakkit could come back. He was my favorite brother..." She said sadly.
-
"What's wrong?" he asked Fernkit.
-
Couragekit let out a tiny purr and nuzzled Luna. "He loved you too, mommy. And he still does. Oakkit loved all of us." She whispered.
-
Couragekit nodded and stood up. "Goodbye Oakkit." She whispered before padding back to the den with her mom.
-
She sneezed, then cuffed his ear playfully.
-
"Goodnight mommy." Couragekit yawned, resting her head on her front paws.
-
Hurt shone in Birchstorm's eyes as Fernkit pushed him away. "Fernkit... Are you mad at me?" he asked.
-
Couragekit fell asleep.
Bravepelt slept horribly. He had nightmare after nightmare of Oakkit's death.
-
Bravepelt woke up and yawned, blinking the sleep from his eyes. "Good morning." he said to her.
-
She squeaked and laughed, rolling off of him.
-
Birchstorm got up and padded in front of Fernkit, looking her in the eyes. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice deep with concern.
