Mal clucked his tongue. "Ara..." He looked at the ground and shook his head. He looked up and flashed his crooked grin at Nya. "It's not the best idea to roam around on your own these days. Even with a dragon."

Mal sighed. "Fine. If you really want me to, I'll go. You do realize though, the next time we meet, I won't get to just walk away? Before I go, have you seen another dragon?"
-
Mal sighed and climbed onto Shadow as the black dragon landed and crouched. Shadow immeditaly took to the skies and began his flight in their possible destination. I take it things did not go well. Mal frowned. Nope. The good news is I can, in fact, confirm Ara hates me and wants me dead. Shadow growled. I'm sure she dosen't. She just needs time to think. Mal went back to scanning the surrounding areas for any sign of this girl. Sure Shadow, whatever you say.
-
OOC: Lemme see here. Ara was captured by the king and he took some information from her. Mal swore an oath to the king so he would free Ara. Mal is now a Forsworn. Helliun is still with Echo. Barahir, Ara, and Kyra are looking for him. They just met up with Nya and Taiana. And Mal was sent to tell Echo to come back. Did I miss anything?
IC: Mal spotted a town on the horizon. He wasn't in the best of moods. Shadow tucked his wings and landed with a thump on a path just outside of town. Mal dismounted and glanced around. Shadow stretched.
-
Plan? Shadow asked. Question someone, maybe burn somethings, leave. Shadow snorted. Well, someone's in a bad mood. Mal ignored him and walked into to town, drawing Baltheron.
-
Mal stormed through the town with Shadow trailing behind. Citizens ran screaming this way and that at the sight of the black dragon, who had taken to destroying building with his tail. Who do you want to question? Looks like that's a meeting hall over there. He gestured wit is tail. I'll worry about that. As for the building, torch it. Shadow flew off and washed the building in a jet of flame. Hey Mal, what did Ara say? Mal swung his sword at a fleeing person. I don't want to talk about it.
-
Shadow, we're leaving. The black dragon looked up from where he had been eating livestock. We are? Did you find out anything? Mal sighed. No, they don't know anything. Half the town is destroyed, the other half is till on fire. We might as well go. Shadow swallowed and bounded over to Mal and crouched down. His rider climbed into the sadlle and sheathed his sword. Where are we going? Mal was quiet for a moment before he ansered. Gil'ead. I'm out of ideas for locating these three. Might as well just go back and give the king our report. Shadow took off into the air, leaving the smoldering town behind them.
-
Mal drew in a deep breath trying to calm the torrent of emotions within him. He nodded once and knocked on the door to the king's chamber.
-
Mal stepped in and quickly shut the door behind him. His face burned with shame. "I couldn't locate them. I tried everything I could think of. Nothing. Im sorry."
-
Shadow looked over Mal's shoulder to pure curiously at the other black dragon. Mal shrugged and offerd the other black dragon his crooked grin. "I'm best barbecued." He thought for a moment. "Oh, I may have destroyed a town while in a bad mood."
-
Mal rubbed the back of his neck and blushed. "I won't. I kinda ran into Ara and I wasn't entirely happy with how the conversation went. But I won't let it happen again."
-
Shadow let out a deep growl directed at Dagdir. Mal's blush deepened. "I never said I loved her." Mal looked between the two dragons carefully.
-
Mal shrugged, seemingly unaffected by the insults. "You really wouldn't believe how many times I've heard that one." he waved a hand at Shadow and the growling subsided.
-
Mal's hand instinctively dropped to Baltheron's hilt. He glanced at Shadow. How could his dragon do something like that? Shadow resumed his growling. I assume Dagnir like's to be the superior. Have you noticed how most dragons here refer to their riders as master? That's not how you and I are. Right? Mal nodded solemly. Of course not. We're companions, friends. He grinned at Shadow and his dragon laughed slightly. Mal looked back at the pair before him. "Can I ask you to get off him?"
-
Mal casually leaned against Shadow, not entirely sure what to say next.
-
Mal watched him go before looking at Caragdûr. "I don't think he likes me all that much."
-
Mal frowned as he pondered that thought. He shook his head. "Do you need me to do anything?"
-
"Alright. Shadow and I are just going to take a fly together for awhile. Just yell if you need something." Shadow looked at Mal, his orange eyes filled with pleasure at the thought of a fly together.
-
Mal grinned. "I'll try hard not too."
-
Mal climbed onto Shadow's back. Where are we going? Mal shook his head. Doesn't matter, just fly. Shadow snorted and took off.
