Ingram's gaze skipped from Elia over to Pastel at her sudden appearance. He had never spoken to the colorful-haired girl before, but Ingram prided himself of being particularly knowledgeable about the camps residents; he knew everyone that attended and a thing or two about them as well. Pastel's self-introduction had been unnecessary then--but Ingram was far too polite to ever imply otherwise to her face. He offered the same friendly smile in the younger girl's direction that he had previously shown Elia, nodding at her inquiry at his own identity. "I am, yes," he said with a nod, Pastel's enthusiasm and friendliness making him smile just a little bit more than he already was. "This is Elia," he introduced, nodding slightly in her direction to indicate her. "She only just got here," he told Pastel, emphasizing some of his words subtly. He was hoping she'd realize what he was getting at--that Elia had literally just walked up and might not even know anything about was was going on. (Pending slightly)

An even expression upon his face, the son of Ares watched as Vixen paced away from him then stopped, clearly waiting for him to follow. Even though he was the one who had chosen to move past her clear distress without comment--and now she was obviously making an effort to conceal whatever that had just been--he was the one who let a break in his own expression occur. It wasn't much, but for her, the faint look of skepticism would be visible on his countenance; he was clearly unconvinced that she was okay, even though no words about any sort of negative condition had passed between them. As such, he stood regarding her for a few moments with that look. To other campers, she would've intimidated them, with that deadly aura radiating around her. But when Ethan looked at her, that venomous beauty only struck him for the blink of an eye before he had already moved past it, seeing instead his friend--someone he treasured dearly. And in this case, his friend who he was worried about. Ethan felt that some sort of gap had formed between them now, but he didn't know how or why, or even when exactly it had happened--just that the last minute or two had changed something between them and he had no semblance of how to form a bridge between them again.

"Yeah," he said after a short time, responding to her, though his voice came out hesitantly. "That sounds good. Larkin bounces around a lot so there's no telling where he is. If you heard he was headed that way, that's probably a good place to start." Ethan turned and walked over, rearranging his duffel bag where it sat a bit before slinging it over his shoulder. He stuck a hand out, his sword flying to him from where it lay across the ring and he caught it, shoving it into the sheath at his waist. He then picked up his spear, holding it loosely in one hand as his other went up tot he strap of his bag, holding it securely in place against his shoulders. He walked towards Vixen with his usual even pace, striding past her, figuring she'd move to keep pace with him as he went. As they walked, his eyes slid side ways as he tried glancing at her without being obvious about it. "So, uh...." he started, but then trailed off--it was a common enough thing when he was talking with the other people at camp, but never with Vixen had it really occurred before. Some interpreted at as a stand-offish nature; the reality was that it was an indication that Ethan didn't really know what to say.

Rhys' own dark gaze was pulled from the sight of the valley below him to regard Penny instead--probably without her knowledge, as she seemed to be pretty taken by the sight of camp. And as he watched her, Rhys had to admit, the thought having occurred to him now--she was really, really pretty. The grin upon her face, the sun illuminating her hair, the sheen of her skin--she looked radiant, and Rhys couldn't help as a small smile of his own graced his lips in admiration of her. Of course, this wasn't new for Rhys. The fact that he himself was usually thought of as beautiful meant that it was common for him to attract girls who were equally so; that was exactly how he and his first girlfriend ended up together. But with Penny, it was somehow different. While her features were very pretty, yes, it was the aura about her, the innocent wonder at the camp, that caused her to become truly radiant in his eyes. A radiance he admired, for sure.

Just as she moved her head, Rhys' head tilted away, gaze snapping back to the valley in order to avoid having her catch him looking. Not that it would've been a big deal to him if she had noticed; it hadn't really meant anything, other than that he found her nice to look at. But even so, part of him didn't want to have to explain it to her, how, for a few heartbeats, she'd commanded his attention. When he answered her, his voice was just as smooth as ever, no indication that he was even remotely bothered by anything. "The infirmary is just over that way," he said, nodding in a seemingly random direction. Rhys started down the hill, moving slower now as he placed his feet carefully so as not to slip and fall on the way down. "It's pretty steep, so watch where your feet go. Unless you want to go rolling down," he warned, smirking slightly. Given that she'd hit a tree, he was of the opinion that she might be clumsy enough to go tripping towards the bottom too.

I'm still here lurking in the background, y'all. I've been a little quiet because I'm waiting on posts from peeps on most of my threads, so ye, but I'm here!

ALSO! Since I teach mostly kiddos classes, my work schedule changes up quite a bit once summer ends, so I might be on at different times than usual for the next couple months, just to let y'all know!

Don't worry if you're gonna be a little less active, it's okay! Just focus on IRL if you need to and you can always come and hang out here when you have time, we'll be chilling!

Also, don't worry if it seems a little quiet here, it's one of those times of the year where a lot of people are changing up with schedules and trying to adjust, but they'll be back after. I've actually talked with quite a few people via DM so I know a lotta absent peeps should be back in the next week or two with the new structured schedules and all that.

And then, numbers are hard, so I kinda decided just to be MIA so I didn't have to try and figure out time zones and all that goodness. But! I have returned! I just wanted y'all to know because I loved getting to know all of you, so if you want to hit me up and chat sometime, let me know!

I don't really have any plans to revive my old threads right now. With time gaps it can be difficult, and people may be here or not, and once they're in the grave, they're kinda just there. However, I do have a thread or two in mind for some different fandoms, so if y'all wanna hang and be a part of those, lemme know! Imma be taken it slow for a bit while I ease back into things, but I definitely want to hear how you guys have been, so please say hey!
