Shadow is te black one in the picture, but look Ara, the white one looks like Kyra!))

Mal sat perched atop Shadow, soaring through the air. Shadow, can you maybe speed up just a little? The massive black dragon growled. Would you stop asking me that? We get there when we get there. Mal shifted. But, what if Ara is in trouble? The dragon sighed. Mal, she'll be fine. Her and Kyra can handle themselves.
-
We are getting closer, are we not? Mal nodded in reply. Yeah. Taking a deep breath he reached out with his mind, hoping to find the familiar feel of Ara's mind, who he had been friends with for so long. He considered calling out.
-
Mal felt his heart soar as he heard her voice. Shadow rumbled beneath him, obviously curious about his sudden pleasure. Ara, are you and Kyra okay? Your not hurt are you? And where are you, Shadow and I are on the way. As he waited for a reply he began to speak wtih Shadow. I touched her mind. I called out to her and she called back. Shadow gave a rumbling laugh. [i]I see. Well then, hopefully she can tell us where they are so we can stop flying in what we hope is the correct direction. Mal laughed himself. He couldn't wait to see Ara again. After all that time looking, he had found her.
-
Mal shared Ara's image with Shadow. Shadow, I know what you said, but please go faster. That's a Forsworn. Shadow growled and sped up. Don't worry we're almost there. We'll reach them.
-
Mal literally jumped off Shadow when he saw Ara. "Ara!" he drew his own riders blade, Balteron, and stepped closer to the Forsworn. "Get away from her."
-
Mal resheathed Baltheron and stepped forward to pick up Valerah. The white blade shimmered as he held it in his hand. He stepped back to stand beside Shadow and Kyra. He stared hatefully at the Forsworn and longingly at Ara. His grip on Valerah's hilt tightened. It was Ara's sword, and he would keep it safe until he rescued her. Because he would save her. He had promised, and he never broke a promise. Still, he looked at her and took in every detail. How her golden blonde hair cascaded around her shoulders. Her soft skin. But most of all he looked at her eyes. Her brilliant, beautiful, emerald green eyes.
((Good night to you all!))
-
Don't you dare. Shadow's voice spoke in Mal's mind. Don't what? Shadow puffed a ring of smoke. I saw you tense. You were going to attack the Forsworn. Mal stared at the ground angrily. I was not. The next time Shadow spoke his voice was full of sympathy. Listen, we all want to help her. Mal, you know me. I want nothing more then to charge in and save her. And think about Kyra, Ara is her rider. Did you stop to think how she must feel? Mal hadn't. He had been to concerned in his own affairs to wonder how Kyra was feeling. He watched Ara stagger off in front of the Forsworn, his enemy. He saw her look back once. Taking a deep breath, he reached out to Kyra. Kyra? Are you hurt? Did he try anything else on you beside the chains?
-
OOC: Looks good to me for both the recaps.
IC: Mal nodded. I know, but we will save her. Even if I have to fight the king myself. A growl came from Shadow as he joined their conversation. Be careful what you wish for. But for now, we should leave. Ara will be okay until we rescue her. She's strong and smart and her will is unbreakable as far as I'm concerned. Mal sighed. Shadow, I was thinking.....
-
Mal and Shadow simultaniously looked at Barahir. Your rider is with the king? Is he the one Ara came to rescue? And Ara, do you know what will happen to her? I can guess but..... Mal frowned as he trailed off. Shadow snorted.
-
Mal stared angrily at the ground as he tensed. Look, I'm sorry about your rider, but if Ara came to save him, we'll try to rescue him too. Mal looked at the golden dragon. Would you like me to heal you? Ara was always better with magic but... He winced as he thought about her. He then attempted an weak smile at the dragon. Shadow looked at Barahir. May I ask what you and your rider are called?
-
Mal turned around to give Shadow and Kyra his signature crooked grin. The one that made you think he was up to something. He pointed his thumb over his shoulder at the golden drgaon. I like him. Shadow snorted in amusement.
-
Mal nodded. I was hoping you would say that. He looked at the black and white dragon. Shadow, take Kyra to our clearing. I'll go with Barahir. We'll find Helluin and Ara. But you two need to go. So your safe. He flashed a grin. Ara would kill me if something happened to you Kyra, and I need you to take care of her Shadow. Shadow blasted fire in outrage. Mal, you cant be serious. Let us help you. Mal shook his head and unsheathed Baltheron and held it next to Valerah. He showed the blades to Barahir. They're twins you know. We forged them together, Ara and I. He placed Valerah and Baltheron together on Kyra's satlle and then grabbed a regular blade off of Shadow's, sliding it into his sheath. I'll see you two when I see you. He turned to Barahir. Your the leader.
-
Shadow lowered his head so he was eye level with Mal. If you dont come back, I'll char you. Mal grinned and watched both Shadow and Kyra take there leave before turning to follow Barahir. So, any particular plan here?
-
Mal unsheathed the regular blade and frowned. He missed Baltheron. He followed Barahir and inspected the cell door. He let out a short bark of laughter. My kind of plan.
-
Mal's eyebrows came together. Do you think that means he's with the king?
-
Mal glanced around qucikly. So let me get this straight. Helluin is most likely with the king, Ara is on her way to see the king, and its the two of us vs. him, plus however many Forsworn, allies, and soldiers ha can throw at us? He flashed his crooked grin. Sounds like a party. Where we off to now?
-
Mal nodded and walked behind, extending his mind out, hoping for a familiar voice. Ara? Can you hear me? He frowned and kicked at the floor in frustration. He looked at Barahir. That Forsworn better hope he isnt around when we find them.
