Well, I just play around with the tools a lot, but it's easiest just sticking with the paintbrush and eraser tools until you get your bearings.

Well, I like making things with transparent backgrounds, so the eraser is essential.

Yeah, she's just the kind of cat Neonpaw needs. (but doesn't want, the grumpypants)

Put the fur and eyes on separate layers so you can color them separately, then use Colorize in the Colors tab to change it. Some of the other things in there work too.

Try saving the picture you want to edit to your computer and then opening that. The background should be transparent. To get the coat color to be realistic, you need to change it to orange or blue than bring the saturation waaaay down, close to grey.

And now for some (mostly) solid blue cats.

Kaspian is a blue silver tabby with steel grey eyes. He's unnaturally muscular, and mute. He is a pessimist, doesn't like killing if he doesn't have to, and would rather save himself than risk his life for another. The only exception is his son Shadow, who he would sacrifice his life for.

As a young kit, Kaspian was brought to a cat fighting house, and lived there for a year and a half. As a young kit, he was ever an optimist, and constantly planned their escape, but his attitude grew worse with age. He was injected with testosterone, and because of this, he lost his voice, began to have headaches, and Bone was born. At the mere age of ten moons, he fathered his first litter, but doesn't know it because Bone was in control at the time. When the house burned down, Moonkit and all but one of his kits, Shadow, perished.

Kaspian heard the crash and turned around. There was Shadow, trapped underneath a pile of cages! He left Rubykit to Swirl and raced towards the cages. He slammed into them, toppling a few off of the top, but to no avail. He desperately pulled at the cages with his teeth, trying to pull them loose.

Finally Kaspian's frantic struggles made an impact. The cages gave was and tumbled to the ground, leaving a small opening. One fell onto Kaspian's back, but he didn't notice it. reaching into the gap, he gently dragged out the bleeding form of Shadow. He nudged him with his nose to make sure he was still breathing, and then picked up the kit by the scruff of the neck. Don't die, don't die, don't die! he thought as he ran back to the stairs.

Could I suggest that you play him in the free roleplay section, because the main game can't have pokemon. It is modeled after real life, after all?
